Well, sometimes you look like a genius and sometimes you lose to HongunPrime.

But seriously, wtf. How can you knock out Huk and then lose to Hongun in the next round? =/

Don't hate the player, hate the game

I wonder if people realize that HongUn has made the semifinals twice and Ro8 twice in the GSL now, making him the second most successful Protoss in the GSL. Guy really doesn't get enough credit.

He is truly one of the more underrated players. He even made carriers in the open season! Total baller. I believe he had one of the best overall average finishes during the open seasons

He's not underrated, he's plain uninspiring when winning, and just bad when he's losing.

Winning 3 PvPs with 4 warp gate doesn't make him good.

Read the original post. Now rethink your definition of underrated.

being consistently mediocre and perceived as such is hardly "underrated".

Do you remember the last exciting game HongUn played? I don't.

I have been watching him since Open season one, all he does in GSL is take out interesting players with uninspiring games then proceeds to lose in another terrible series.

Remember Rain in season 3? HongUn let him through to the finals, after he took out FD in 5 retarded games.....

He should be gone like his equally uninspiring protoss brotheren choya 5 seasons ago. I duno why he's still here to provide us with more entertaining 4 gates.

Haters gonna hate. Carriers and Mothership rush made me a fan. Again, I don't think people realize that his results in the GSL make him the second best Protoss player so far. He's made the semis twice and Ro8 twice. Yet people compare him to Rain and Choya, the former who dropped right out of Code S and kind of hovered around in mediocrity before leaving, and the latter who is simply long-gone from Code S. Yet here's HongUn, putting on a good run for the 4th time so far, and people are still bashing him. If you're that consistent, you're doing something right.

Yes, Easily.

Will do.

Unless you're Naniwa or White Ra, you're not in the same zip code of skill level as HongUn & MC.

Or maybe I'm just that confident in my pvp.

"Yeah, I mean overall I'm a diamond ladder player, but man, my PvP is so godly I should be teaching MC how to hold 4 gates against Korean pros who have triple my APM!"

Does that sum up your view?

Nope, but feel free to make shit up!

If they're "free wins", even against an opponent of HongUn's caliber, and you're "that confident" in your PvP, then really you have a duty to go teach MC what he and the rest of oGs-TL have obviously failed at miserably so that next time he can advance and give us the NesTea vs. MC matchup we wanted.

My whole point I think people overrate 4gating in general from all the "nerfs" people want to do it. I didn't say I could beat MC or HongUn. Just that I consider 4gate a free win in general.

You never lose to 4-gate in PvPs? *bow down*

Ah yes, I'm sure you know more about the metagame than a 2 time GSL champion and the best protoss player in the world.

And the people crying "nerf warpgate in pvp" are clearly more informed.

Also I've always said MC isn't that great, he just playes aggressively and his opponents lose their games rather than him winning them, just like now how MC loses his own games by preparing to defend and then not doing it.

MC played well against Puma. He almost beat Puma, except with that dumb move in game 7 to go 4 gate all in.

And White-Ra would've beaten him if MC hadn't cheesed... sure you can play to win but that doesn't make a fan out of me.

Point is, he is highly overrated, just as HuK is, watch White-Ra play and there is always a new idea, a new form of play, MC does the same thing over and over, always same aggressiveness and when it fails he gets flustered and loses the same way that Hungoyon did in the game when he had the lead but couldn't take not winning directly and blunk in and died.

NesTea is a opposite, he is always new, refreshing, manages to get out of situations nobody expects him to and brings new ideas to the matchup. What he lacks that MC has is absurd amounts of confidence to the point that it flusters his opponents.

ROFL that's why all Protoss pros look to MC because he's overrated. You can't win them all man. Neatea got eliminated by GoOdy in a tournament. Bottom line is quantitatively MC is not only best protoss in the world but best player with $200K to his name.

white-ra lacks the amount of time for practice other players have, this guy is married and has a family,
if he could train 11 hours a day he would destroy players like naniwa and mc because he's smarter than them, and its amazing that he still manages to compete at this level without investing so much time,

Wanted to see MC vs. Nestea =(
But well HongUn played better although he just 4gated. But I can't see Nestea losing to HongUn.

I think Bomber will have a hard time playing Byun and possibly Losira. Don't know if he will make it to the Finals...

the only thing that can stop razor thin 4 Warp gate is still a 4 warp gate.

Thank you blizzard for a lame ass match up.

With the last Patch Blizz has basically made 4gt way less viable in all MUs, except PvP, which was their original goal. And the smaller Pylon radius makes Wall offs more prone to busting vZ.

So yeah, I consider the "fix" a fail in PvP, and it does reduce the early threat Protoss have against greedy expoing. Not QQing or anything, but I would have preferred if Blizz had gone with my idea of one Pylon's power radius canceling the warpin ability of the opponents pylon, so that you can just build one pylon at the top of you ramp, make a sentry and stop 4gt much more easily. That wouldn't have made 4gt totally obsolete, but not as dominant, as it still is. Ohh well...

@oGsMC: I don't even understand what I did. I'm supposedly a professional and yet I got supply blocked and played without thinking in a game that I prepared. The games I played doesn't even deserved to be excused and the saddest thing is that I miss out on games against Nestea and I'm just angry at myself
