And yeah, counterattacks are huge in all zerg match-ups. Whatever this is--laziness/lack of practice/poor play--I'm worried for idra in the later rounds. Just doesn't seem like this dude gives a shit. Like I'm just waiting for the next preemptive gg or small mistake to force him out of the game. I kind of feel the same way when watching dimaga, although dimaga doesn't leave the game. When I watch someone like Sen play, or any of the koreans, I know they're trying to win the game. Yeah, he won't get past a Mana, Thorzain or Nerchio playing like this.

But given the IdrA WON, I'd say his decision to play it safe and be patient paid off, especially when he had multiple more bases, and got his drones out safely as the other poster mentioned. There weren't enough lings because his army comp had so many roaches, so I doubt that flanking would have worked out well enough. Indeed you're right. I just saw a lot of mutas and roach/banelings, in my eyes it definitely looked like with the right positioning he could have repelled Drewbie's army. I need to be more watchful.

They set up a custom game, and the "third" player wins so that if you check the history of IdrA or Drewbie it won't spoil the actual outcome.

Sure, but it adds a little more "difficulty" to it. If i remember correct the results of the first season was spoiled because of this.

It isn't that version, that is what happens with the cloaked version of that map at that time. It was updated and fixed later, but wasn't ready when we played the initial rounds.
