They need to:
1. Hire the guy who did Puma's intro and the NASL finals player intro with the poses. Instead of the hour long recaps with the horrible quality application videos, get him to do all the player intros.
2. Fix the scheduling. Let players set up ASAP.
3. Fix sound issues.
4. Get better booths.

I guess we have a winner.

I feel bad for the players that had to pay to fly in and only get to play one bo3 where they might not have played very well.
While a loser's bracket is more exciting for us observers, I wouldn't exactly call their system unfair. Every player going in to the tournament knows the format, they know they have to give it their all in 2/3 games of each match, or they are going home early. I definitely prefer a loser's bracket (especially since it helps build storylines that the NASL wants to build) but I have no sympathy for those who lost, as they knew the stakes.

Meh, I'll just have to say it, as much crap the NASL got through all its existence it deserved every but of calling out today.
Hell, I think the League season was much much better than what we saw today. I know you guys improved a lot through the season but what happened today? I don't think I had a moment where I could enjoy the audio and all the delays ugh. I really feel for the people who didn't take a day off today

hopefully it goes better tmrw : ) night everyone!

Yea if they cut down on the intro vids and 1hour long breaks between each game they could of done bo21 and not bo3...

I'm sorry, but the grand finals of a what calls its self a professional league with a 100k prize pool should not be merely decent.

He played TvZ and got rolled, literally. Banelings FTW

frankly the booths don't seem comfy to play in, feels like a jail cell ...

Are they going to do the same map system for the next 2 days? It seemed kind of stale seeing the same maps over and over again. I think they should randomize it a little bit and maybe give the players a veto.

It's just disheartening to see guys like Ret fly out from the Netherlands only to get knocked out by a bunker rush and an early tank timing (and I was cheering for PuMa).

Hrmm. I hope the maps are different for the next round.

Ok maybe not that bad but still, plus, people are gonna talk more when they ARN'T watching starcraft so couple those two factors together and those numbers sound totally reasonable to me. Lets say one fifth of the time was spent playing SC, and discussion doubled during the downtime... that sounds about right. This is a great point. There was a bit too much delay, and taking literally an entire day for 8 Bo3s is a little ridiculous.
I agree. Cut the fluff!
The few games I did catch today were good, long, exciting games(except for white-ra). NASL needs to realize that their only redeeming factor is the great players at their tournament and tastosis. Everything else is fluff, and the production is sub par to bad.
Not that I'm hating on NASL. Ultimately this is good because the players get paid and we still see great games. But I am saying that things really need to change; nobody likes the fluff and the production is by far the worst of any major tournament

I hope tomorrow doesn't have anywhere near as much filler. Probably real expensive to rent the convention center and they probably want to make the most of it but come on let the Koreans leave and do some sight seeing rather than chilling for 12 hours for only 8 series of games.

They had an entire season + playoffs to get to the finals, there's your double elimination, only instead of double it was like quadruple.

MC was being nice to boxer. -poor army control, 50/50 while attacking main for example -no observer, MC always builds tons to spot/feedback Ghosts and keep tabs on army -No taking out gold he knew was there -No marching in a killing him letting him re macro up many times - no celebration, MC always celebrates.

People are paying money for this, it's not about doing your best when you are selling a product. It's all about competing with the available alternatives. The problem with this in an eSports sense is that good games can happen even when everything else is terrible. I feel that the NASL has been coasting on the fact that despite being lacklustre in every other way, the games have been decent, and some of them have actually been quite good.
