Completely agree. MC took it easy on Boxer game two. He also respects other great players as he aspires to be like them.

It was MLG faults. Who decided to pick that internet to run an entire league? Sundance.

I just wanted Tasteless/Artosis or Day[9] to cast Boxer vs MC T_T

i stay up to watch gsl occasionally. i don't even watch nasl even though i don't have to stay up for it. i tried to check in occasionally today and when i did there was never a game being played. i did catch the end of the boxer mc game.

I started watching the stream only when the darkforce vs alive match was on so I thought the production value for the even was pretty good but going back and reading all the post wow lol... i hope they pick up their game for day 2

You also don't get the built in drama of players going through the loser's bracket on the path to the grand finals, so it really messes up a lot of stuff. I feel bad for the players that had to pay to fly in and only get to play one bo3 where they might not have played very well. I totally agree, especially thinking of Ret. I don't see why there should be no loser's bracket. These players came from all over the world, why shouldn't they play some more games? Time cannot be the problem, since there was no need to cast EVERY game live on stage (considering today's tempo, this indeed would take a week). But setting up a double elimination format for only 16 players? MLG does this in the open bracket, I really don't understand. imagine if there is a loser bracket with these pointless endless intros it will take a week to do the event
-They have 2 sets of casters -a lot of downtime between the games where they can fit in more games like a losers bracket -the intros were only needed to play once when they first appeared in upper bracket, so no need to show again

i hope boxer switch race if he didnt win MLG. he was a protoss in BW then switch to terran

Nice to see actually intelligent people noting MC's good traits, rather than some kids whining about how he acts arrogant.

It's MLG's decision to have that many games playing at once and it causes massive instability to their streams and the games, having that many players on the floor is how they pay for their prize-pool, it's easy to say it's not their fault it's the internet, but they're over-farming their internet in order to not have to spend any of the membership money on the prize pools.
NASL is the other way, they want to pay the players a decent amount (we're talking an order of magnitude larger for first place), and whatever is left over is going into production which means over-working a smaller number of less trained staff.
We have both, you don't necessarily need to choose, but it's important to keep in mind when thinking about the issues each is facing.

He played Terran in BW.... unless you mean WAYYYYYYYYY early in BW.
I just liked the way MC handled the win. No BM against BoxeR but that was expected after his support for him after the article. I guess I get to root for him and July now. I honestly think that against almost pretty much anybody else Boxer would've at least made it out of the first round.

You may call me spoiled, but I expect a similar level of quality out of all the sporting events I pay for. I pay for EPL, I pay for NFL, I pay for GSL, and this past season I paid for NASL. After a terrible season they start off in the tournament with much of the same problems they had before it. When you run a business you don't hire your fucking friends, you hire competent people. NASL does not understand this. Every tournament I have seen Xeris be associated with has been a joke in terms of organization, why would anyone hire this guy? I will continue to support the good events (GSL, MLG after columbus, dreamhack, etc...) but for ESPORTS to grow shit like this actually has to die.

The only positive things they have are the game itself, tastosis/day9 and of course the price money(which leads to good players). Otherwise nobody would watch this rly bad show. I wish I saw the games you saw. Think I wasn't here for all the good ones.

wow, anyone else think that this thread will beat mlg columbus??

I think after today, MC and July are the favorites. They looked dominating.
