I pay for EPL, I pay for NFL, I pay for GSL, and this past season I paid for NASL. After a terrible season they start off in the tournament with much of the same problems they had before it. When you run a business you don't hire your fucking friends, you hire competent people. NASL does not understand this. Every tournament I have seen Xeris be associated with has been a joke in terms of organization, why would anyone hire this guy? I will continue to support the good events (GSL, MLG after columbus, dreamhack, etc...) but for ESPORTS to grow shit like this actually has to die. No thats a normal reaction. Just vote with your dollars next time. I'm a poor college student and read about tournaments before I shell out the cash. GSL is always good so I'm willing to buy from day 1, however I didnt buy HSC until day 2 based on raving reviews here and never purchased NASL due to ongoing poor reviews here. Limited cash = has to be "worth" it to a higher level for me.

That would justify everything imo, besides for a few butthurt people who are just butthurt because they couldn't see it "live." This would be awesome. I wanted to watch today's games live but couldn't :[

I would encourage people to specifically not buy NASL season 2, make them improve first, and get rid of Xeris as well. If you want something to get better you have to 100% vote with your wallet, you are absolutely right in that regard.

Thanks out to everyone from the NASL that helped put this on, hopefully you've all learned from this rough first experience and I'm sure with all the constructive criticism you've all been receiving, NASL season 2 will be a lot better. Fortunately for us here, the most important part (the games) are very exciting. Thank you! Really? another guy commented in the thread that the projectors sucked and gave them a headache.

Great cameras and angles, top notch sound, well organized, colaboration with a pub. They had a tiny budget compared to NASL and most of the crew weren't even professionals and they still made it run so smoothly.

Select won the first game pretty easily, thus making sure he would stay on top of his division, and then ran around making nukes. Saying MC will just roll over him is just laughable. He beat select easilly at MLG 2-0 when the match actually mattered for both players and was LAN. Both players were obviously dicking around in the NASL game (even though MC did win 2-1) so I wouldn't read much into that.

You forgot to mention that HSC had years of experience and knowhow of ESL TV behind them. GSL has years of experience in doing live events MLG has experience now cause the have learned on their mistakes Dreamhack has experience because they have been doing this for quite some time NASL has experience because... of wait they don't because this is their first major live event Just give them some slack - they will improve and stop hating without considering the whole picture.

If you actually want them to get better you have to put financial pressure on them. Actually, I'm pretty sure financial pressure = no more NASL.

Do you have any idea how massively they improved from week 1 to week 4 even? They are absolutely listening.

Game 1: Adding just one voidray to a 3 gate greatly increases its potency. And since you are only making one, you are essentially only producing from those 3 gates after the void comes out so you will soon have enough money to take an expo as well! Very nice pressure build from MC there, and great answer to a 2 rax. And since Boxer took his expo early (and at his natural), he wasn't prepared. Game 2: Making 10+ ghosts is VERY good vs toss. For most of the game, Boxer had half as many bases as MC and was still holding his own in battles by just EMPing the crap out of everything. As a toss, I've always worried that terrans would start to use them more. Apparently Boxer is ahead of the curve in that respect. Many ghosts mixed in with your bio are the perfect answer to zealot + archon, and if boxer had secured equal bases in that game he would have had a great chance to win.

Sadly, I completely agree with this. MC stopped making high templars to feedback ghosts. He just sat there and absorbed EMPs. After he killed almost all of boxer's army he just fell back and let boxer walk to his bases. He just stayed at 200 food and just kept running into boxer's army never going for the death blow. I think he respects boxer enough to make the games look close to try to keep him from being embarrassed, but that's just my opinion

They are absolutely listening. yes I actually paid for it. well they did improve they had several problems all season that continue to show their face in the end of season tournament. it has been nowhere near the turnaround MLG had at any point this season. improving from terrible to slightly below average is not something I want to recognize as legitimate improvement, if you do, continue to send money Xeris' and NASL's way next season!
