So I looked at Toxi78's match history.
It's cup - what round - against who - duration (- no game, walkover)

The order in which he played the games:

After beating Turuk in Competo he played against Combi & Stephano in gamecreds, for a total of 29min (40 SC2min). So that leaves 1min for finding & setting up with the 2 opponents to not go over the 30min DQ limit - which I dont believe is possible.
The problem for Starfresh though is - it was not his place to demand a DQ. Infinity was the opponent. Infinity could/should have requested the walkover.
(though I think it's noteworthy that Starfresh said to the admins that both of his possible opponents dont answer. He was not lying to the admins at all).

TheFreshOne did everything according to the rules. It's not his fault that Toxi78 delayed his round by playing in another tournament.
TheFreshOne waited, as stated in the rules.
He tried to contact the opponents, but they didn't respond.
He stated the situation to an admin.
Admin made the decision.
I see nothing out of ordinary in TheFreshOne's actions.

Yeah, but at the same time when you've been waiting an hour for your match and see your opponent had played people not in the tournament it's not unreasonable to ask an admin's decision so you don't risk being DQed yourself.
Remember Fresh has no way of knowing that Toxi was in a game with his Competo cup opponent. Only that Toxi + his opponent are both in games. If he knows Toxi played a game outside of the tournament then it's reasonable to assume that his opponents aren't playing their game.
Fresh definitely could have handled it better by asking the admin for the status of the game or giving a more complete picture, but asking for a DQ wasn't unreasonable either.
Also when did the admins tell Fresh to play quarters. I don't see them saying for him to do that until AFTER he's already played 1 of the games. Idk what they did with the actual brackets, but they didn't seem to give him the go ahead. However he should have gotten the def win because Maztiz in the chat log asks for the same thing at the same time and is told to wait 5 minutes then do defwin.

the internet is funny, do you guys realize you are writing essays about things that have nothing to do with you, which matter is at best 50$ and at worst a disqualification of a tournament that is one of the 50 that happen every week, do you have nothing better to do? it's not like someone was killed, people.
everyone in this case has his share of mistakes thefreshone, myself and the admins,
injustice hit both of us in a row from each's point of view, but it could have been ruled in a game if thefreshone didn't ignore me and listened to the admins' statement, which was to play the game.
thefreshone obviously failed to state to the admin that we were actually playing the round, i cannot imagine the admin giving a defwin if he said so, requesting a defwin while we were playing was a douchebag move anyway, the cup was 3 rounds from finishing, you can't expect the whole bracket to be synchronized anyways.
i should not have played another cup, but stuff like that is just usual, if you think i'm a bad person because i play 2 tournaments at the same time, then goody, beastyqt, (list goes on forever) should be insulted in the same way.
the admins of competo are incompetent, they do not contact players online and i suspect them of not even having starcraft 2. they take hours to answer on IRC whenever you try to contact them, and generally make decisions that are senseless (someone HAD to enter a score for me vs infinity to give a walkover in the next round, when this was done remember that i HADNT won yet).
people insulting me personally are wrong, had i lost, infinity would have had the same way to go,

You don't do yourself any favours by making vague comments (The girlfriend admin one for example) and coming off as a mean person. Perhaps it was sarcasm but sarcasm is pretty hard to detect on the internet.
If you had at the start of this put your hand up and said " I was playing in another cup I fucked up but the admins handled the situation wrong" I'm sure a lot less people would be posting about you and more about the way the situation was handled.

CompetoCup came out of this looking like a bunch of easily swayed and openly biased fools. Not exactly the game-fixing scandal it could be but hmmm....competo i'm very disappointed in you.

It was reasonable to ask an admin what's up. I do blame the admins the most for not checking the information / strange retracting decisions & co.
But it was unreasonable to ask for a walk over. Because what would've happened if infinity won and not Toxi? Suddenly there is no "he played in another tournament" excuse. What if infinity's game ended 10minutes before he started to play Toxi (so Toxi's other games wouldnt affect competo at all since the toxi & infinity game would've started way before the 30min limit)?

He said neither of you responded - and also did say this to the admin. If neither of you responded how can he know that you are playing the round?
It's basically the same to when you say that he had you on ignore

Fuck everyone that plays in two tournaments at the same time. Your time is not more important than anyone else. They shouldn't have to fucking wait 30 minutes because you decided your time is more important.

The admins are just stupid. They didnt know what they were talking about and/or didnt talk to each other. Its a pretty poor overall showing for that tourney.

I like reading threads like these, they are like a storybook. I especially love when the plot thickens then unfolds and someone story falls apart. Especially when they continue to fight even after the evidence against keeps piling on. Even more satisfying when that person is the bad mannered one.
Toxi, just man up and move on. If you believe you're right what do you care, all you're doing is making yourself look worse.
Seems like just a bad situation for everyone, Competo needs to step it up if they want to continue running tournaments under the same name.
