tbh even though you can't make multi click macros in SC2 i have my macro keys set up to act as 6-0 and it makes using all the control groups alot easier

I know they have to plug it, not complaining about it , just wondering why people would listen to the same keyboard being plugged for the 10th time this weekend instead of muting the stream.

you can set up in game macros that will do multiple things at once but not make macros that press buttons for you.
just a tip but there are plenty of games they are allowed in and they are useful for other things as well. i know i like to use mine for launchin applications xD just press one button and bam sc2 opens up! World of Warcraft has a build in macro feature. WoW is made so you can't do tons of things at once using "Global Cooldowns". You can make 1 macro in WoW to use 100 moves, but because of "Global cooldown" you can't use them all at once. Macros are definately legal in world of warcraft because there is a built in macro system for it. Even tournaments are allowed macros, because its part of the game. The ingame macro system for WoW is far superior, so no reason to use the keyboard for it, but it is definitely not illegal.
the issue is you can set up delays in your macros with the third party keyboard software that can be used to bypass the GCD and essentially make you bot. thats why they arent allowed. macros in game are limited by GCD's and you cant script your way around them.

Seriously. Before people complain, maybe they should try to set up a tourney in their apartment with no sponsorship. Then you wouldn't have to plug these wares!

The WoW Macro system doesn't allow multiple spells with one push of a button (with a few exceptions), and that's what those macro keyboards do. You're not allowed to use delay functions on the keyboards. Else they are completely legal.

I guess the companies are just like "Oh they have, we need to have it too, otherwise the list of features looks inferior + the hardware test will see that as an disadvantage"
mechanical keyboards mostly dont have nifty stuff

In Wow, with the macro created ingame, you still have to click for each actions (on global cd) even if it is on one button (typically its coded like a chain of actions). But with a keyboard you can set timers to do that, and that is illegal, even in wow. You can set timers in WoW also, WoW macros are legal as long as there is a keypress to use them, same as the keyboard. It is 100% legal using this keyboard, but theres no reason to because of ingame WoW macros. Im positive you have to click for each global cooldowns.

And the SC2 keyboard. The official gear is macro friendly
