Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402)

I'm not calling them bad--but the players these Koreans are facing are mostly not in the top 10 foreigners. So, yeah, the Koreans will win. Now, put the best foreigners against Korean mediocrities, and you'll get the same results. Wow, who amongst the top 10 foreigners that's not at MLG? Nada, Killer, InCa, Nestea, sC are all not at MLG. Not including all the crazy Code A players that got promoted this month like MKP and MVP. MMA, MC and July are good but they're not top 10, at least not results wise (except maybe MC, who wasn't even Code S last season). Koreans have a lot more depth than foreigners.

I just dont see why you need to overegg the stats they are still impressive even if you include Moonan and Select.Did you miss the entire page of posts explaining why your original post was really stupid?

If Idra hadn't come back to the States half a year ago, he could be considered a major part of the Korean side. A lot of people still do consider him part Korean because he picked up a lot of his mechanics in that scene. Just because Select is Korean doesn't mean he isn't from the North American scene. A foreigner cannot be considered a Korean just because he plays/lives/practices in Korea. Once a foreigner, always a foreigner (in terms of starcraft obv.)

If u sent any top 25 korean to this event they would have similar results. That = skill gap. Moon's pretty crappy comparatively and everyone else here whos actually code S/A level is dominating. If thats not a skill gap what is? I don't think people like Polt Prime would dominate MLG

The way I see it only 3 people at MLG (in the pool play) have a shot at taking down MMA July MC and Losira. Those 3 are Naniwa, Idra and Thorzain. Idra and Nani won there groups and Thorzain was in Idras group. Now I know other players have a shot at taking a Bo3 off of them (Sjow who should have beaten MMA and Morrow if he can get out of the Losers Bracket) but lets not pretend they sent over just anyone MMA has possibly the best TvT in Korea and has shown that he can crush high level zergs as well. MC is the best protoss in Korea without question. Losira is probably the 2nd best zerg is korea and if hes not the 2nd best then Julyzerg is. So the only people who can beat the top koreans are the top non koreans. If MMA's TvT was the best in Korea, he wouldn't have gotten 2-0ed by Bomber and 2-1ed by MKP (MKP lost game 1 by doing a failed gimmicky build) You can argue this is a small sample size, but if he really was the BEST, he wouldn't have lost on 2 separate occasions, especially considering how much the games meant. Also, he barely beat Supernova in TvT which is by far Supernova's WORST matchup. MC is the best Protoss but he has been in a slump lately, thus his play has not been representative of the apex of his skill. Losira is good, but there is are a lot of Koreans Zergs tied for second place behind Nestea. Otherwise, everything you stated about how only top Foreigners have a chance against the Koreans, I agree with. But in the end, only MC is a tier 1 player.

I think 3 Koreans in the top 5 is very possible.

Select and Kiwikaki have had way more success than Morrow and Dimaga. Sjow has one of the largest earnings outside Korea, those three are clearly top foreigners as is Ret who won Assembly.

TLO, QXC, Demuslim are all "European". Select and Moonan have been in the US for a good part of the last 5 years. Their playstyle and understanding of the game is essentially North American.
