I had to go away for a moment and missed it. ![]() Nerchio with a pretty early third going into his fast +1 and ling roach and aslo adding in banelings. while White-Ra went 6 gate pressure off of 2 base with a proxy pylon near Nerchio's 3rd base. FF blocking and killing off all the banes and made nerchio GG ^^

We all do, that's because that's not what a real macro game is. In a real macro game you have: 1. Early pressure and skirmishes, well held by the defender 2. Many mid game battles, some back and forth action for specific territorial advantages 3. Full blown lategame war with all relevant tech paths being used in a 25-30 min game A real macro game with players that can keep up with their multitasking, macro and decision making throughout the game looks pretty goddamn epic. This is why BW people love their games, because most progamers are on such level that every game looks like this. SC2 will probably get there in time, at least in KR.

Even the commentators treat a FFE on shak and Taldarim as standard play now, and I don't think even nestea's spine play could stop it,

With that said, I don't know what Nerchio was doing in that last game. He was way behind in harvesters and didn't really have any military units until he tried to hold against whitera's push. Can anyone enlighten me? A common reaction from zerg to a protoss fast expansion is to take a quick third base, as the protoss isn't able to be aggressive for a while. Nerchio didn't scout the high gateway count of white-ra and instead expected some kind of stargate harass, so he thought he didn't need that many units and then couldn't defend ra's push.

From there, Whitera walks in with a lot of stuff, Nerchio tries to destroy the army with banelings, but good forcefield saves him. Nerchio doesn't have enough to hold and ggs
