Glad they fixed the balance on the audio, but the cheesy as hell music at the end of every map has to go. It's out of place, feels like they are trying too hard and are just shoving it in there because some other tournament does it, and goes over the casters' voices (which is a plus if Gretorp is talking IMO, sorry to Gretorp, but I don't like his casting at all and don't feel like he is qualified to be casting NASL).

Oh and also, gg hero DTs.

MC also had a HUGE spread on his colossi and Hasu had his bunched up. Splash damage played a massive role in that last engagement.

Archons CAN win in PvP if your opponent went Colossus/Chargelot (I believe oGsHero vs ST_Squirtle in the GSTL illustrated this)

sums up : DTs down Hasuobs 3rd base

MC had more Colossis

MC had better unit compositions

Hasu had better upgrades (2W 2A vs. 2W)

MC was behind a bit in supply

MC was behind...

hasuobs had shitty unit comp

He was always up a base. When hasu had a 4th going up his 3rd's nexus was killed. Hasuobs was 2base to MC's 3 base for like... the entire game.

Hasu also had like 14 more probes. So MC's army was larger than the supplies indicated.

He had 30 more supply at one point and hasu had better ups.

MC was behind.

Colossus won, archons lost.

Correct this to being behind by 16 supply, taking probes into account... at like 120 - 140 values. I really don't think Hasu was ever even slightly ahead.

HasuObs didn't "need" to do anything except keep pumping colossus and attack once he reached 200 supply with a slightly better (thanks to armo) upgraded force. He would have slammed in ahead even after that base snipe. I have no idea why he didn't.

What do you suggest? Switching to 0-0 air tech vs mass colossus and blink stalkers with +3 attack? The tech switch would have taken too long to get the right upgrades. Hasu should have had a second robo a long time ago and shouldn't have lost that nexus to 2 DTs.

Last time I checked, Colossus don't attack air units...so upgrades are irrelevant and the stalkers melt to colossus/void ray.

MC didn't have that many blink stalkers...

A stargate tech switch could have definitely worked well if performed correctly, although the behind-in-upgrades point is still valid.

Hasuobs was ahead, very much ahead right before those DTs... I swear those DTs were the best decision ever to grace a PvP

i dont think you can afford to mass BOTH archons and Colossi on 3 base...too much gas. If you have 4 bases i think its more viable. Then the engagement went all wrong for hasu. I dont think its all about colossi still...just protoss have to figure out the correct transitions

Why stargates are so rare in late game pvp is kind of confusing to me.

Stalkers get fried so fast against that many colossus one would think having a least a few voidrays would make a huge difference.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out long term if it will be viable or not.

when your opponent got like 12 collosus, those archons and zealot just died before they even get a hit off
