I dunno, I didn't think that game was all that great.. maybe its cause collosi melting everything in the opponents army is something that happens in 99% of protoss games lol

It's situational, Archon/Chargelot is extremely strong if the opponent has a lot of zealots and a small-moderate number of colossi. Against MASS colossi, not so much.

only thing that counters mass collosus is mass phoenix/voidray which is basically impossible to build up PvP

Yeah if there was a probe transfer I think he *might* have been able to see it, although when I looked at the map vision there towards the end it was clear he hadn't warped in any units on the high ground with it


His probe walked right by about 5 probes as they were transferring on the ramp to the base.

Bunching against mass colossi = bad. Trying to outproduce someone going 2 robo with just one = not going to work.

I would love to see some stargate play against heavy robo.

and that is why pvp is still stupid. MC made good decisions, but I hate it coming down to mass collosi boring mode.

Archons aren't useless, MC just had wayyyyyyy more Colossi. Also, pretty sure MC's army was bigger cause Hasuobs had like 15-20 more probes.

hasuobs had shitty unit comp

He was always up a base. When hasu had a 4th going up his 3rd's nexus was killed. Hasuobs was 2base to MC's 3 base for like... the entire game.

Hasu also had like 14 more probes. So MC's army was larger than the supplies indicated.


He had 30 more supply at one point and hasu had better ups.

MC was behind.

Don't understand the decision to make Archons over Colossi. Archons do less DPS than Colossi and have around the same hps, but cost more (200 minerals 400 gas). They counter the same units (Zealots), but Colossi can do it from afar and in a line AoE, which is generally better.

Building Void Rays to counter mass Colossi is an alternative to going mass Colossi. Or even Carriers.

What do you suggest? Switching to 0-0 air tech vs mass colossus and blink stalkers with +3 attack? The tech switch would have taken too long to get the right upgrades. Hasu should have had a second robo a long time ago and shouldn't have lost that nexus to 2 DTs.

he could have afforded 2 more robos easily and made more colossus, he was ahead considerably, he just decided to make archons that such
