Kas is to good at scouting imo, he usually scouts really good around his base. So i think some proxy cheese will only turn against hasu.

It's why this series isn't super amazing. It is an example of a lot of things that are wrong with the state of SC2 right now.

It's like saying BW tvp is dragoon -zealot - Arbiter (or Carrier) vs factory units, sigh... Every match-up boils down to a couple of core units, in the end, and switching tech is extremely hard.

It's pretty standard for this sort of setup to send the casters 'dummy' replays so they don't know.

Missed the fifth game.

Still im surprised how someone like Hasu still havent figured out Kas style. Kas is doing the same things over and over again yet Hasu struggles every game.

i dont think the casters know the result beforehand. that would take a lof of excitement out of their casting
If you think it's too hard there are solutions other than asking for a nerf, getting better is the first that comes to mind.

Yes, I am sure he said "as this is the last game".

However I do not think the casters know the result beforehand. Most probably they just get the 7 replays (of which some fake probably). So I would not put much into it.

True it could be argued that although technically vikings/medivacs are t3...they are weaker compared to other races' t3 units (outside of thors and bc's which are useless in certain match ups). I just wish thors didn't have soo much energy...so that HT feedback wouldn't outright rape them and that BC's were easier to transition into. But regardless PvT is pretty balanced...just requires Terran to do a lot of efficient drops.

ultras and broods are tier 3.5, not tier 3. (require hive and greater spire/ultra cavern)



And bc's are tier 4: barrack/factory/starport/fusion core



Thinking about it... Pool/Lair/Infestation/Hive/Cavern ... Ultras are T5
Pool/Lair/Spire/Infestation/Hive/Greater Spire... Broods are T6.

I just think the usage of the whole tier-thing in starcraft is not very well defined.

hatchery tech=tier 1
lair tech= tier 2
hive tech= tier 3

no need to over complicate it. there are minor divisions within each tier, but that's the gist of it.


Yeah, I wasn't being exactly serious. As I said, for Zerg it's rather easy, but Protoss/Terran is more difficult, as the whole "Medivac=t3" starting point shows. Medivacs just aren't comparable to broods/ultras.

I'm not sure what you're expecting. Standard play is standard for a reason. There is very standardized play in Brood War as well. The appreciation you get is how the players make it all come together. I don't think the idea of a standardized composition is particularly bad.

That being said, watching one player try to roam all over the map and harass while the other sits in his base with 1 army hotkey isn't particularly amazing, but its what a lot of Protoss are doing right now. I think as Terran players get better at exploiting a turtle Protoss it will fall more by the wayside.
