Screw up a few games because of pressure/cheese and goodbye :/ Why you mad, bro? Rain didn't even cheese. Yeah, it was amazing. Rain played legitimate games against Rainbow and MVP. He didn't even look that bad doing it. Amazing that a professional gamer, who practices hours upon hours a day, can win or play well in a standard game. *gasp*

Oh no he didn't. No one should be hating on Banshees >.>.
I'm glad Rain won. While some may hate Rain for cheese, I liked his story (he always wanted to be a pro gamer when he was young). Well okay that's kind of generic "story" and probably fits a lot of the younger players but still since we got to see the interview with his mom and his story, I can't help but cheer him on.
Plus he seems to be a good mannered player (never really BMs) and he even apologized for cheesing (I think cheese is fine. It's not against the rules and he should do whatever it takes to win [lots of money is on the line >.>]. It's up to Blizzard to balance cheese).
Sad and disappointed that in the yesterday's game + Show Spoiler +"oh so man"[you know he's so man when he had trouble opening a can of coke >.>] (AKA HoSeo San) lost though . In an interview San said he did so well during previous 2 GSLs because he was playing for fun instead of playing to win (that is his mentality was just to have a good game). I wonder if the nerves and pressure to win got to San .
Also I actually don't like the tournament format of the GSL (that is, if a player loses just one match, they're knocked out).
I think they should do more of a league where every players gets to play against all (or at least against half) the opponents (similar to the NASL) then once everyone plays each other, progressively remove the players with the lowest scores and continue with players playing each other until there are only 2 players left (then there's the finals).
This will be a better test of "overall skill" IMO because good players won't be able to get knocked out so early just because of one bad match. Though not that I'm saying Rain is bad (again I'm cheering for him) but because I really think the current tournament format doesn't do well to show a test of skill (too easy to get knocked out).

You can tell that he is winning from the begining as he gains a huge supply/army advantage and then he attacks when he knows he will be able to break through, so it never gets "exciting" to watch. taking a risk with negative expected outcome AND no superior strategic anticipation, is not exciting or skillful. it's cowardly and weak.

But then again, exciting play is what makes Jinro and MarineKing so enjoyable to watch.

Jinro has not done anything exciting for a long time. Mkp yes he's very exciting but it's mostly due to a unique style.

I like watching Mvp play, personally. It's kind of akin to watching a masterpiece unfold.

Because a topic about the finals hasn't been made yet, I think i'll talk about the finals here.
I just realized now that Inca actually hasn't lost a single game since the Ro16 started. The only game he's actually lost this season was once against Rain in the group Stages.
Shame, he was so close to a perfect season. Admittedly, it's not unheard of to 2-0 Virus and 3-0 Killer. It's amazing he was able to 3-0 Nada, but then again, Nada is his teammate.

We all love a good executed cheese once and awhile, it whats gets you really pumped up and excited wondering if its going to succeed or are we going to see a glorious fail. We just don't want to see cheese for 90% of someones play. Love to see MC cheese because he rarely does it. He usually plays standard and might cheese once in a bo5/bo7 which is the kind of stuff we need.
Unlike Inca vs Nada, 3 games of cheese to knock out a fan favorite.

Did you watch Game 3? Sure, he was going to cheese, but he beat NaDa in a straight up match when that attempt failed.

Noo Rainbow in Code A
Wait a second, Rain vs MVP games were good? That's a bit surprising considering what may seem like a huge skill difference (and playstyle difference).

Watch the first one. The second one, not so much.
Watch the first game of Bomber vs. Lyn too.
None of the rest of the games were worth watching. They all lasted <10 minutes.
