Every attack is an all in then. You get behind when you dedicate yourself to an attack. The obvious hope is that you can do damage to kill them or get ahead. If you can't understand that doing these 'attacks' on a 1 base economy is not the same as on 2+ bases, I can't help you.

It's a annoying thing about SC2 sadly. It's still an all-in, don't be snide.
This statement is actually contradicting itself. If you can continue, it's simply not an allin. Anyway, that's off topic and it gets a bit boring. The all ins get defended easily, as you clearly see if the player spots it. If he doesn't - well, bad luck for him.

The obvious hope is that you can do damage to kill them or get ahead. yup. losing units without doing damage generally puts you at a disadvantage, but you can also usually do damage so it's fine.
the difference is the follow-up. if you were to do some sort of pressure and expand behind it, it wouldn't be allin because you have a followup. however, with that style of 4gate you have no money to spend on things other than gateway units, you have no 2nd gas and you have less probes. you have no good followup so it's allin.
you could say that he can still transition out but the transition is weak and late and he's still pretty much dead because of that. investing into production, and then not being able to use that production is never a good thing in any rts game - you'd be better off just not making the gateway.

When did I say I can't understand the difference. Funny thing is that people call Minigun doing pushes on 2 bases all ins as well.
That being said, it really isn't worth arguing over since it really comes down more to the definition of "all in." To me, all in would be dedicating everything to an attack which is guaranteed to end the game one way or another, which makes sense in terms of the English language, but I do understand that something like 20 scvs being pulled can be sustained, but still be considered an all in (and I would agree with that) because of mules.
To be honest, I just personally think that the term all in is bad just because it always is used to discredit the person who is using it. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but it seems that so many people don't accept "all ins" as a legitimate strategy.
That was probably a bit unclear... but either way feel free to respond and let's just get back to enjoying these games!

72 probes to ~40 drones, this game is so over, haha

Minigun quite cheesy in this series. I guess vs Morrow that's smarter than trying to multitask vs him in a macro game.

No man, he sunk all his money into a hidden voidray play and it worked. I'm not bashing him, I said it was smart.

2 stargate is fairly all in though, so I guess it's a little cheesy even though a good choice vs morrows composition

Gambles like that makes this game feel so completely one dimensional at times.
edit: aww no replay, unfortunate
