So yea, i think the mappool is really good.
edit: by players i meant people who actually have a decent chance at qualifying for this, not everyone who plays sc2.

Correct. As far as SEA goes everyone, we thought long and hard about what regions to include for IPL 2. I wish we could include everyone but that isn't our reality right now. There are a number of challenges for including SEA which include ease of communication, scheduling, latency affecting the quality of games, checking the legality of prize money and competition for the different areas of SEA and so forth. For IPL 2 we are sticking with our original plan of just the NA/EU/LA regions. We will be considering our options to include SEA for IPL 3 as this is something that we definitely eventually want to do, if it's the right move to make for us to make. This is not us hating on the SEA and SEA players, this is just the best move for us to make as an organization at this time. All of your "reasons" for not including SEA are just inconveniences for the player, NOT anything to do with the quality of your tournament. Look at your reasons critically. The only one that could possibly be a problem for your company is the legality of prize money, which can be solved very easily by a quick consultation with blizzard. Ease of communication? Please. Scheduling? If a SEA player is dedicated enough to organise their day around attending your event, then thats fine. Else, nothing lost as far as your concerned. The Latency issue has already been debunked. Its just a fact of life for some SEA players. Many SEA players, depending on ISP, will have better lat to NA than some EU players. Competition for the different areas of SEA? You're really scratching some weird excuses up there.

Edit: Somehow I skipped over the 'LIVE' in the OP :/ completely nonsensical since EU > NA has similar lag to SEA > NA.

Does anyone think Crossfire is a good map and fair for Zerg tho?

Competition for the different areas of SEA? You're really scratching some weird excuses up there. I usually don't jump on people in threads, but seriously, let it be. IPL is doing EVERYTHING right, they are sticking to their promises, and they are producing quality stuff so far in everything they've done. I am sure they are taking the SEA possibility seriously, but at the moment aren't complicating themselves with liabilities and instead focusing on what their current plans are. Also keep in mind this is not some small organization we're talking about here. It is a very large company that is investing into this organization, and that's possibly a lot of red tape to cut through when making changes to anything that involves any type of finalized legality. I would just relax, and have faith in an organization that has been completely professional and competent since day 1.
