![]() I'll sign up for a tournament, but I have no chance. Might as well have a tournament experience though.

The way it's broken down, 6 rounds on day one. To put that into prospective, a 64-player double elim bracket = maximum of 12 rounds. Doable in 2 days.

I actually like the ICCUP maps but there isn't enough circulation and games played on it for me to trust them yet, nor can I ask the players to play on maps they don't have much experience on. Maybe in the future we'll create a totally separate map pool but until then we are relying on maps that tend to be balanced and give good games.

As far as SEA goes everyone, we thought long and hard about what regions to include for IPL 2. I wish we could include everyone but that isn't our reality right now. There are a number of challenges for including SEA which include ease of communication, scheduling, latency affecting the quality of games, checking the legality of prize money and competition for the different areas of SEA and so forth. For IPL 2 we are sticking with our original plan of just the NA/EU/LA regions. We will be considering our options to include SEA for IPL 3 as this is something that we definitely eventually want to do, if it's the right move to make for us to make. This is not us hating on the SEA and SEA players, this is just the best move for us to make as an organization at this time.

It's an excellent map and as for the circulation issue, it's in the MLG map pool.

I was gonna fill in my profile link to my us.battle.net account but I am unable to log in to that. I get an error when trying to log in. I do not have the same issues with my EU account. I am master on both so would it be okay to fill in the EU account or is it better if I don't fill in anything at all? Thanks. You need to have your NA account on the signup sheet, I'd recommend keep trying and if you continue to have issues post here again. Broadcasting: So the main event games will be played 11th to 19th... "Targeted Date is Thursday, July 14th at 8:00pm EST" means that youll broadcast the finals on that day or will this be the first Day (in the Season 1 thread you mentioned that the production time was quite long - and ipl2 will have way more matches, so i guess thats when it starts?) Any more infos on the considered broadcasting schedule and for how many weeks the matches will be streamed? (actually hope that its similar to TSL, just twice as many games per day cuz you have double Eli...) July 14th is our targeted date to start broadcasting the event. It will likely be similar to season one, where we broadcast 4 nights a week from thursday to sunday. On May 04 2011 15:08 havox_ wrote: Prizes: I really hope that its a flat payout... Don't give too much money to the winner, it doesnt matter if its 10k or 25k, its huge anyways... But we want SC2 to be really pro, so we have to make sure that as many players as possible can make money by playing... Agreed, but until I get my final prize distribution OKed I cannot actually say what the distribution is. Casters not so sure - but well, everybody needs a chance - as long as we get some experienced and good (and therefore probably already known casters for the Final rounds^^) All in all... Awesome News! Yes we will have experienced casters doing it, I've already gotten a ton of applications.

Title: eSports Marketing and Operations Manager Alex was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona but has also lived in Oregon, Tennessee, Maryland and New York. He grew up playing video games on both PCs and consoles and loved games like StarCraft 1, WarCraft 3, Super Smash Brothers and EverQuest. He became involved with eSports through playing in tournaments during the StarCraft 2 beta, getting picked up by a team, becoming a team manager, then running tournaments for team sponsors where IGN noticed his efforts. He is considered odd by his friends because he has passed up a legal career to work for his passion in eSports. He enjoys playing StarCraft 2 and reading in his free time.\ In case anyone really wanted to know. Amazing what you can do with google in 2 seconds.

This is kind of sad, MLG is using testbug, since dallas and still using it in columbus. GO4SC2 use Neo enigma. That's only two on the top of my head. The main event only start in july don't you think that's enough time for players to prepare to a map pool some are already familiar with ? If nobody tries to promote those maps, specially big event, they will never have enough circulation, the snake is kinda biting is tail.

I think it's the same what happened with the GSL maps. Some league must be the first to implement them into their leagues. We've seen the old Blizzard maps now for almost a year and I think adding new maps would be good for the games and good for the tournament. I hope you are thinking about adding them into the season 3 mappool.
