I actually thought Zerg were doing better than Terran lately

Kinda surprised to see those graphs tbh.

A. Multi Aggression -Game 1
B. Early Aggression-Game 2
C. Standard Macro-Game 3

One more Terran Hero has been added to BlasterIon's Terran Hero list

game 3 was not a standard macro game. I dunno why you think it was.

I don't see why it isn't can you please explain to me why that isn't a macro game?

because losira went for what was basically an allin consisting of ling/bling + hidden expo at terran's fourth in the early game instead of saturating bases and teching even when the odds of him breaking through were obviously pretty slim, and sc denied him the backup third for so long it was impossible to recover.

a 'macro game' aka a macro-oriented game is defined by both players playing safe with expansions and only having a few engagements (holding a timing push, pressure, stuff like that) and entering the mid-game with strong economy and tech, which leads to larger engagements, positional play, harrass, tech transitions, and other stuff that makes long -"macro"- games entertaining.

losira entered the mid-game on 2base, and stayed there for almost the entire match, never saturating, getting a fourth, or teching to anything.

this was a player that took a safe expansion vs. a player that went for ineffective aggression. it was more of an outwit -rather than outplay- situation where sc made the better decisions having the psychological safety cushion of his 2-0 score.

Game 2: 2 rax scv all in.
Game 3: 2 rax fake into FE. Losira decides to all in, but as a zerg on CROSSFIRE this is quite common because of how imbalanced that map is for zvt.

In conclusion I don't see how this proves anything, especially the bold remarks tasteless made. If these games are the criteria for being "One of the best Terrans in Korea" or "Amazing TvZ player" then that speaks to a sadness of the state of this game.

Sadness or not. It doesn't discredit his statement in anyway. Tasteless is right, and probably knows more about Sc then all of us combined as he gets to meet most of the players anyway. Maybe he's heard from other pros that this is the case? Sc does quite well on the ladder aswell..

Based on this series alone, I wouldn't say he's one of the best TvZ players, after seeing someone like MVP or MKP play against Z, or even boxer.

I'm not saying he's bad at TvZ, just that I don't think he's near one of the best TvZ players.

Agreed. Honestly I think the remainder of the players in this GSL just feel a little weak for finals candidates, but I'm not sure who I would really want to replace them. It might be a few GSLs before there's a new set of people who I'm really comfortable talking about as truly S-class players. I'll still bow down to MC and MVP(and possibly a few others depending on how well they're truly playing) but at this point I think everyone's ready to see some other truly top level player emerge and actually succeed.

Also I think most people want it to be a zerg

MMA and Bomber will be coming up from Code A quite soon.

We'll see what happens. Bomber has nerve issues. MMA's really good but so is Losira. It's one thing to be very good, and another to be a hero. I think if it's going to be anyone currently in Code A it'll be Bomber but I also want to point out the possibility of players who are currently known and seen as not being particularly good improving. Pick a random player - what could happen to Coca in 6 months?

Losing in the round of 8 in your first season of Code S means you're overrated now? There are several zergs who've never accomplished more than that who are still held in high regard.

Maybe peoples expectations of Losira are slightly too high, but overrated carries too many negative implications for my taste.

When he smash a zerg, he outplays him in every ways.

Exactly, that's a good TvZ player. I don't know why people are finding bio all-ins and bunker rushes so inspiring all of a sudden.

Because they're entertaining to watch as opposed to watching a Zerg make 80 drones and then a-move 2x120 supply all over a terran's bases?

I'll have to agree that sC's TvZ isn't anything to be notable for.

But he's definitely one of the best Terrans in Korea. I'd say Top 10. He placed first in a group of 4 Terrans including top players such as TOP and beat Polt in the Ro16. And he's also been on the top of the Korean ladder quite a bit.

Also, as for state of the game, yes Zergs is the hardest race to play, but Zerg's have been able to defend 2 rax bunker rushes quite easily recently and that's why Terrans use it less nowadays. Losira should have handled that situation a lot better.

As for the first game, it was extremely close and Losira could have won if he had used infestors more/better.

As for the 3rd game. If you call that an all-in that was a very bad attempt at one. Teching to Lair and building a 3rd hatchery while all-inning? That wasn't an all-in. It was just a very weird(possibly stupid) build by Losira, probably because of nerves or whatever.

wow, I don't think Tasteless has ever said something more wrong, and everything he does is plugging sponsor / parrotting Artosis / saying wrong things about SC2 24/7.

Explain, why he is wrong please.

He won the first game with an all-in, the second with another all-in, and the third he predictably went marine/tank on a very marine/tank friendly map. Nothing "amazing", nothing there that makes him one of the best Terrans, etc. I honestly don't know what Tasteless was thinking saying that so many times.

So let me get this right, you think the rightful winner should be the guy who lost to "all-ins" twice in a row, and then failed to defend vs a very predictable strategy.

Yeah.. that sounds about right.

Did you even watch the match?scfou went a 8 RAX WITH REACTORS PUMPING MARINE like a madman all-in.How often do you see those kind of all-ins?Losira probably could not take the continuous pressure from sc.Game 2?That was just a build order win.Bunker rush+marines+12scvs vs 14 hatch PLUS CLOSE POSITION.Trust me man,its like so freaking difficult to hold that even as a pro.

Game3?Probably expected sc to win.Losira all-in probably out of frustration from being cheesed twice.
Play your best

Its funny how people imply that the majority of people who play zerg are qq'ers by nature. The reason why so many zerg's qq must be because there must be an issue in balance with the race.

I wasn't too big of a fan of Losiras choice to go for mutas.
A Bling/Infestor composition with fast upgrades + faster T3 tech does way better on this map, especially against that mass marine, tank style.

Frankly with how poor his engagements were in that game he shouldn't have won, but Losira didn't play very well either.

How about outplaying Losira so badly in the early game that he could afford to lose that much stuff, and macro so well that even after the 3rd time it happened, he was still way ahead in supply?

Oh please. Any bronze can use fake 2 rax pressure into FE build. It wasnt sc outplaying, it was Losira overreacting. But after seeing how 2 rax pressure went really well in game 2 I cant really blame him.

Whenever I see someone start an analysis with how a GSL game went with the words "Any bronze...", I know to not take it seriously. Some people have some seriously skewed perceptions of how good these players are.

Players are good, but some of the things they do are as easy as they can possibly be, they are merely humans.
