Maybe not excellent but he still did a good job,,,,his macro however was excellent.
Hey, I also vote for Mondragon but I respect Cruncher for playing well in that game.

Bull fucking shit. Mondragon ate him alive all game and Cruncher still got to a-move a durpball. Get a fucking clue. maybe when the replay is released we can look at how much resources were lost in units/buildings up to the point when cruncher won. then we will know who needs to "get a fucking clue". the map is just a hard map for zerg to win, it's a hard map for mondragon to do what he was trying to do. Good defensive play is kind of easy to have when you cannon like combat EX ^_^ People need to give Crunchie some cred though, his play is pretty solid.

I mean, dropping WHILE being attacked by Phoenix / Void Ray and awaited by Stalkers can hardly be called genius play, right? I'm puzzled by the rage of some people, I would like to see the 'Resources Lost' tab of that previous game, or rather the value of units lost, as Cruncher did lost some buildings but hardly any units. In the end he just had a superior army...

I haven't seen ALL of his games, though I've seen quite a few, and to say he plays an unpredictable style, isn't that wrong? I mean, he's pretty predictable. He does have other qualities that would describe his play better. Just saying :- ). I don't mean it as whine or being mean towards Cruncher, I just feel its like writing Idra loving to rush. As this doesn't seem like a blatant whine I'll respond, what the eff do you expect Cruncher to do whilst defending against multi base harassment?

Nah his defensive play was extremely terribad, he suffered of one control group syndrom the entire game, never split his army to deal with the multi-proned attack.

1) Some of the drops were pretty cost-inefficient. Losing fully-loaded ovies hurts 2) Massing mutas instead of corruptors when Cruncher was just on collossi/voidray To anyone saying Cruncher's defence was impressive... he built 8 cannons at his third (and a tonne at his 4th which he lost anyway as well). I can defend as well as Cruncher in that case... PS Cruncher to take this game too. Another easy 3-base turtle.

Mondragon is taking all zergs to school, and teaching them how its done. Really, beautiful play by Mondragon. Every zerg should be inspired, really good use of his army. Not the "well imma rush to 200 food and fight the protoss 200 food, and call it imba." !! Go go mondi!

I still think Mondi can win this series. He showed he has the skills. To be entirely fair, the unit composition that Cruncher had would have defended on the shak just as well as on the old shak. The voids and collossi can just bypass the terrain that makes the new shakuras more difficult to defend a top/bottom 3rd on. In the end I feel that the inefficiency of and relative high cost of the drops really put mondragon on even footing if not behind for most of that game.
