Then you should watch the games when Idra actually bothers. He's got one decent idea on how to do it. He tried it against MC also tonight but failed due to MC forcing himself ahead in upgrades.

He 6 pooled on Jungle Basin, which is the most Terran favored map Blizzard has ever come out with. Winning against Terran on that map is next to impossible. He didn't do it because the match up was imbalanced.
Quite sad White-Ra didn't win . I thought he had it after the first 2 games and then everything went into a nose dive.

I'm a massive Idra fan but when I saw game one, I saw MC put into a difficult position and you know what he did? He came out fucking swinging. He piled on the pressure, tech switched absolutely brilliantly and won with superior control, end of fucking story. Stop whining. Why is it that Idra's drop play was so succesful in game 2 against Cruncher and he refuses to do it again?

No it's just more proof that he has no confidence. I've seen him in decent situations in numerous games where he'll just rage quit all of a sudden. He's gone from a fav of mine to someone I don't really care about

Im a casual viewer. I watch some GSL, maybe TSL if I find the time. I dont play SC2 at all actually, even though I did play for a few months when it was released. I feel like im a good example of a "noobish casual viewer" and part of a crowd that the E-sport and SC2 scene really wants to get more viewers from. Now I do understand that for you that final game was really smart and all, but for me that didnt happen. And if SC2 want to make it bigtime I think they/we/production/casters need to find ways to make cheese like that feel just as epic as a 40min slugfest. I just don't think thats possible, at the very least not possible in this situation. I for one don't blame MC one bit for making the decision he did in game 5, but the way that game played out was just not exciting, there was a tense moment after the first pylon was dropped when we weren't sure if WR was going to check for proxies, and that was it. When he queued up a probe to scout the top base, the outcome of that game was perfectly clear. Anyone who has lost to a proxy on that map knows the pylon position on the low ground will not be spotted by the AI pathing, in fact the only reason that probe came anywhere close was because WR was scouting the wrong base. For the casters, there is absolutely nothing to say besides: "OH GOD HE IS PROXYING WILL WR SCOUT" "OH GOD HE ISNT SCOUTING" "OH GOD NOW HES SCOUTING THE WRONG BASE" "OH GOD GG" The casters did the best they could by pretending that probe's path was anywhere close to spotting the pylon. Unfortunately for you I don't think there is anyway to make a 3 minute game that is decided at 1:15 'epic,' which really is just too bad. Very true. As a spectator, player, and White-Ra fan, game 5 was just a sinking feeling in my stomache after the proxy pylon got up. Basically it just left what I would guess a majority of the viewers with a bad feeling at the end of the tournament. Which is too bad because it was a great tournament. Can't we all just agree that MC is good? And more importantly, that we love White-Ra! Since you mention you're a White-Ra fan: I dont know, but you seem unexperienced. I dont want to sound rude, but that's normal when your favourite team/player loses an important match. You will feel like crying. You will blame the opponent using a stupid/cheesy strategy. Take any football (soccer) match in an elimination round. If team A is getting ahead, they play very defensively for the last ~15mins. Trying to win time (taking their time for throw ins/ free kicks / goal kicks / injuries / ...). If you're a fan of team B you HATE that. It's the most cheesy thing to do. If you're a team A fan it's normal & intelligent. This feelings suck, yes. But honestly if you dont feel that way you will never experience the joy if your favourite team /player wins something. This time the MC fans could celebrate (seeing a 0-2 comeback is AWESOME!). Especially when seeing that proxy "OMG PLZ DONT SCOUT IT! PLZ PLZ PLZ DONT LET WHITERA SEE IT". And the White-Ra fans feel cheated & are heartbroken. Next time - who knows? But trust me, people enjoying those games & hating those games is actually a great thing. Even though it feels like shit sometimes
Lol, I'm just trying to turn this thread into something more positive Don't worry my emotions are definitely in check haha.

This was not so good for Team Liquid :/ All 3 Players of your Team were defeated in the first round . I'm a really big White-Ra Fan , he plays so seriously after first game between IdrA and MC i supposed IdrA to the Winner but with this fkin Idea to play a six pool he destroy my dreams . The only Korean won the Invitationial ... ):

Does anyone know the title of an epic song/music of DH hype advertisement (showing venue, action, players, etc..) with chorus in background?
Thanks in advance.

It doesn't mean its broken!!! It could mean Zerg has to find a different way to win a different avenue of approach in the matchup. Win Zerg got the roach buff alot of people that didnt play zerg hated that. The other races had to overcome and adapt with what they had. Maybe it just needs to happen again but this time zerg needs to adjust.
If you look over the past year the majority of the strategies used are ever-evolving and changing. I can't really think of any protoss buff outside of the phoenix build time and obs cost decrease. Zealots build time decreased, no more walling in zerg with pylons unless you use 3-4. The list could go on but to stay on topic its just ever evolving. Every race gets its hayday and it changes to another race. Terran was rolling beginning of the game, then zerg was rolling, then back to terran, then to protoss, its just ever changing you have to look at it like cycles. You can't look to blizzard to change something everytime a race has a dry spell. I mean zerg just got a buff to infestors. You sound like for you that wasn't enough you need something else done. Nerf Templars? already done in the same patch as infestor buff. You just have to look at the picture as a whole and not a small snapshot (which would be the past 2 months in a almost year life cycle)

pretty damn good event overall. really enjoyed the casting and hearing the fans cheer was pretty cool touch as well. i was hoping for a MC vs sjow finals to avoid the MC vs whitera PvP finals since we just saw that in the TSL, but its whatever. cant blame the players for the way PvP mirror is played, thats what the blizzard official forums are for arent they? for a PvP mirror though i kind of found the series to be enjoyable, as enjoyable as a PvP mirror can be ofc. im just a sucker for blink stalkers though so whatever

Meh, i dont understand how you guys can honestly say PvZ is truely balanced

You can argue about it being imbalanced.
But you absolutely can't do it from the games we have seen today.

If a foreigner takes down MC, I want it them to outplay him. Thorzain might be able to do it. White-Ra can't.
Until MC slumps, he's the good brain brotoss.

What an awesome finish for a really good tournament. I was sooo excited whenever White-ra was scouting. But MCs anticipation of White-ra's opening was spot on, he didn't scout at 9, he didn't check his own base and he skipped the zealot. You are eventually getting punished if you do that every game.
|
Too bad White-ra didn't even know that proxy gate is also beasty.

Doing no harassment while ahead in food then throwing your whole army out of position into a choke against colossus and storm is just bad play on Idra's part, it had nothing to do with balance. Why didn't he get drop and do some hydra drops on the main while simultaneously harassing MC's 3rd? He never touched MC's 3rd the whole game. MC at least did some warp prism zealot harassment on Idra's 4th.
Zerg does best when they can surround, not in chokes. If he engaged on the side of MC's 3rd instead, he would've had much better surface area.
