everyone already stated it here Protoss needs to get Colossus unless they want to lose, pretty sad gamedesign.
upgraded Gateway Units stand no chance against unupgraded M&M and also in the major battle it was even supply. But as we was able to see, even with Blink Stalker/Charge Zealots Sentrys Gateway Units stay Useless.
very good gamedesign indeed.
Where are the mods? Seriously.
What gateway units are you talking about? I didn't see jack shit in terms of a ground army from Grubby. I saw him teching hard PRAYING terran would sit back and just contain.
Praying doesn't win you games.
I don`t understand the imba talks either. Especially the last game. DDE had 3 bases and took out Grubbys 3rd.
Grubby decides to get DTs and high temps off 2 base... LOL. Sorry but templars are just about worthless when there is no gateways units to support.
They aren't imba talks, they're gamedesign talks. He's not whining about imba, he's saying that P needs to go Colossus in order to stay even/ahead. I'd agree.
But the notion that grubby lost cause of his unit composition is ridiculous

I think attempting to go to HTs on two bases rather than robo units likely lost him the game.
It's fine to stay gateway heavy when you have a huge upgrade advantage as long as your macro is even with your opponent and you're being aggressive with them. Terran bio seems to scale better with food than gateway units, however, likely because stalkers are bigger than rines or mauraders and zealots are melee. That doesn't mean it's not viable to stay on gateways for so long though you just have to constantly be engaging and taking advantage of Protoss's superior ability to disengage or to chase down retreating units (once you have blink and leg speed). Adel's game in the TSL is a really good example of how to make it work. Grubby's play here is a really good example of how to make it look like it's impossible to stay gateway vs. barracks that long when that's really not true at all.

Add DT and HT tech to that, off two base???
what ? double forge build are really strong. Tyler has been doing that for a while with some success. But I think Grubby should have went collossus.
I didn't say double forge builds are weak. But rushing the +3 upgrades while behind in army count, while teching to HT and DTs is weak.
Stalkers only get 8.3% more dps against marines and 6.6% against marauders for the +3 upgrade (against 0 armor)
Stop talking about the unit comps in that game. Grubby lost it after he pulled probes to defend the first attack by DDE. He was playing from behind after that.
The Pro Circuit Stream is now finished for the evening. The Halo: Reach stream is still going strong- switch over to watch all the rest of the night's live action! The Black Ops and StarCraft 2 stream are now re-streaming today's broadcast.
This is really deterring a lot of new potential SC2 fans... just imagine someone new trying to watch a game... no wonder western e-sports is so far behind

the whining is the only thing we have. If it weren't for these forums and the hilarious posts that resulted from the tournament I wouldn't still be watching.
This this this. I've been entertained so much. I laughed for 3 straight hours from TL posts in the MLG Day 1 thread then got absolutely hammered after we all gave up trying to watch the games.
Was a fun night. If the TL community has to suffer for trying to entertain ourselves in the face of epic fail on behalf of MLG, then that's quite dumb.
I think this is the point when blizz realizes how important the support for lan games is in sc2. Players should never have to deal with this. They should be able to practice with lan and play tournaments with lan.
