guardian shield is key esp vs many rines. it halfs the dps of marines and makes maruaders to pathetic dmg to zealots.

This this this. I've been entertained so much. I laughed for 3 straight hours from TL posts in the MLG Day 1 thread then got absolutely hammered after we all gave up trying to watch the games.
Was a fun night. If the TL community has to suffer for trying to entertain ourselves in the face of epic fail on behalf of MLG, then that's quite dumb.

game design doesn't enter into this... when you decide on a particular strategy, you should get things that have good synergy with it. Splash that doesn't benefit from upgrades and induces a spell that ignores armor does not have good synergy with a rush for double upgrades. Maybe there are design flaws with the necessity of colossus, but *this game is not evidence.*
