Would that be too costly, too gimmicky or just plain not work? Again mostly for these bigger maps where your army may not have enough time to reach your attacked expansion to save it

Marines actually cost 50 minerals :O I agree as a terran player that marines are super godly and fullfil like every role possible for a unit, especially when combined with medivacs they are unreal. I do however feel that after magic box was found, terran wouldnt have an answer to mass mutas without these certainly strong marines. You could see it in this game that Haypro almost had the game so many time purely because of his huge muta cloud. This one is certainly difficult to approach cz marines are definately too good compared to other units, but are they rightfully too good? Perplexing no?

On other note, how do marines scale with upgrades, battle.net site says +3 with each level, that would explain that insane dps. Isn't that a bit too much for 50 min. level 1 unit? T_T it's +1 for each level.

Since Terminus is so huge and it's so troublesome to get creep everywhere, your engagements are all going to be slower. You really need the infestors to lock down the marines from kiting your slower banelings into the tank lines. And yea I know about Byun's game, so maybe it'll just come down to infestor vs ghost control. Exactly this, the terran often ran his marines waaaay ahead of his tanks relying on stim to get them back if any banes or lings came around. If haypro had a few infestors sitting around it would either force terran to do a slower push or to take bigger risks of unsieging the tanks and moving it all at once. Either way zerg has better chances of catching the terran in a bad spot and utterly destroying his army with minimal losses.

Everyone says how the people here make excuses for IdrA whereas when it's HayPro it's his fault. Well IdrA HAS gotten further, MUCH further. After not qualifying/getting kicked out at RO64 and not making it when given a ticket to Code A, it's hard to avoid the elephant in the room. It's stressful no doubt to play these games, but that's no excuse for losing so many hatcheries and not cancelling. Also, while people say Ganzi's drops were in vain, he was sacrificing them to get HayPro's mutas and stuff out of position so he could snipe his hatcheries. 8 marines or whatever + medivac < losing hatchery + delaying income substantially. Every time Ganzi did this, it was like someone stabbing the same cut again and again making it deeper, while sacrificing the same thing. Losing those units doesn't hurt too much but the effect of denying bases compounds substantially.

Simply wouldn't work | ||

Again mostly for these bigger maps where your army may not have enough time to reach your attacked expansion to save it I was thinking this exactly, especially as during the time the terran has to drop his marines and then scan it gives mutas that little extra time to get to the expansion, and even if u dont have blings there, the terran will waste a scan or risk losing his whole drop

Unfortunately, he decided to go after an expansion (and didn't even finish it off). I was really hoping he would go for the production facilities and try to to end it there. He didnt attack an expo. He went into the main and killed 3 turrets, scvs, 2 ebays and 2 armories. Ganzi then dropped hayder's main and pushed his army into the expos. He should have killed some rax but he had to pull back or he'd die.

A lot pros like to drop marines in a line while the medivac is still moving. I like the idea, just not 100% its effective yet.
