By the way, it's really strange that the Blink stalker rush works so well against Zerg since both speedroaches and speedlings destroy the stalkers in cost even with blink.

We can now truely say a protoss hero has risen from the masses. If it wasn't for MC, people would probably still consider protoss up. Now we need another zerg hero

Speedroaches aren't out yet and speedlings only work against small balls when there's lots of lings. Throw in a FF or Zealot and it's quite a lot worse.

I missed the games vs nestea (preparations for newyear's party), were they worth watching?

Well it isn't like Blink gives additional damage, so if you don't micro your Stalkers will lose as hard as before. Blink mostly creates a positional advantage and the ability to take badly damaged stalker out of battle so they can recharge their shields.

Not really, very one sided. No epic battle whatsoever.

Think you underestimate blink. If the Zerg doesn't completely destroy the army after each engagement it becomes rather bad for him. The ability to save units is massive in a fight. It's kinda contrary to what Zergs like doing(Building as little army as possible). So it's deadly if not prepared for 100%

Well, blink Stalker normally doesn't really get sentries, so it's going to be 1 or 2 FF max and actually speedlings work just fine for cost vs even like 20 blink Stalkers(assuming you have the ~80+ speedlings you should).
Oh but yeah if they abuse the terrain really well it's going to be a problem, but like that game Nestea just had 0 units.
Also it doesn't matter if Z normally likes making as few units as possible since blink stalker like this is allin and if you hold it you win, so you should use every larva for units

1 roach against 1 stalker, is dead even, sometimes they kill each other, the thing is, one roach are twice as cheap as a stalker. So, yeah, they are good against stalkers.

Missed the games and can't get the VoD site from the OP to work, all the videos I click on turn out to be ~30 second commercial clips. Am I just being dumb or did they remove the ability to watch the vods?

you have to wait for the commercials to end, there are like 4 or 5 sometimes

MC has been on fire the past few weeks.
Not sure the complete list of all that he has done... but anytime I see his name pop up it involves a lot of winning. Aside from the match against TOP he has been rolling.

MVP and MK looked close to MC, but otherwise he's just pretty damn dominating at this stage of the game.
Anyhow, I'm guessing that Terran all kill against Protoss in the TvP matchup would have gone the other way if MC started for the Protosses (and played).

On the other hand, MK has also improved a lot in TVP since his last lost to MC earlier this month. Need to give credit to MK. Don't simply repeat "MC will beat MK if he plays". That's not predictable at all. The only difference really is he's expanded to Marine Tank play on certain maps. Other than that, he's pretty much the same. Nope. I don't want to say too much. but I find that he built the barrack earlier and closer to his main base. and he wall in with a second depo around his base. that's one of the many details I noticed which are different from what he did in his previous games. A bit more cheese proof I guess, nothing groundbreaking to suggest him and MC somewhat even now. That makes a lot of difference. MK plays safer now, meaning that no cheese like proxy zealot or VR attack can kill him. I think he will beat MC in the next GSL. As I thought, still not even.

As someone who doesn't play Protoss I'm a bit baffled behind the reasons for MC's success. I haven't seen any unique builds from him, so is it just his unit control and game sense? Does he just know how to read situations better and choose the right build, then execute it better than anyone else? What's his secret?
Most people were baffled by Fruitdealer's success in GSL 1, but came to discover that after any early aggression, his opponents would just let him be through the midgame and he would just drone/tech like crazy to get ahead(things have changed a lot since then and his success with that style has dwindled accordingly). Is MC doing something similar? Does he have some specific timings in his play style that allow him to get ahead but can be exploited? Or is it something else? What are other Protosses learning from him?

Really? MC does builds that are VERY different from the normal Protoss guy, he has his own style and executes it almost perfectly.
