Why no Marauders when he sees mass Roach? He had two Barracks with tech labs.

this is pretty anti climatic, IdrA is outplaying qxc badly

That's not necessarily anti climactic for me. I'm sure closer games with nail-biting finishes would be unbelievably entertaining, yes, but its also somewhat epic to see the raw power of an unleashed gracken.

qxc is great, but he has to practice vs rehab NA zerg all day while idra gets to practice vs top koreans.

Its supposed to be this way.
Its like playing any already super hard game but playing it on insane difficulty.
If you can beat it you are rewarded greatly, if you fail you get nothing.

Maybe they shouldn't have let idra choose all maps

lol yeh, even when the latency difference, IdrA would still have the edge on QXC. I dont think that was quite necessary but well, maybe it was IdrA's choice

lol, talk about outplayed when it's ZvT on scrap and blistering.
do you honestly think it wouldn't be different on delta and lt?

Why?

Terrans usually say all maps are balanced.

I find it really funny how QXC crushed everyone in the tourny and idrA so far is just destroying him.

How? It's their tournament, it was announced early. The grand prize is 1000$ and A CHANCE to win a laptop.

I'm confused how it's lame, it's not like they suddenly announced it, all contesters knew about it yet participated.

The problem with this matchup is that it looks like QXC has some sort of fear when facing IdrA.
If i'm not mistaken qxc was smashed by IdrA in IEM and i guess that has stuck.
Watching these games against IdrA looks like it was me (bronze on ladder) training with a friend of mine (diamond on ladder)

QXC was the only player to put up much of a fight against IdrA during his MLG DC run (which is what I think you're talking about.) His TvZ is really good, IdrA is just playing really well. I don't think QXC is all that comfortable with 2 rax and IdrA sees that from against just about every top Korean Terran he plays.

qxc needs to play standard turtle macro terran with precise aggression.

if initial aggression works -> qxc plays the game strong
if initial aggression fails -> qxc crumbles

when his initial push gets countered, he doesn't revert to standard but more cheese / fanciness... ie cloak banshee / marine drop in game 1 and blue flame hellion in game 2.

It's not like there are really any Zerg favoured maps in the pool to begin with. Maps which are seen as good for Zerg like Shakuras and Xel'Naga are generally just the most balanced.

The only blatantly unbalanced maps are the anti-Zerg ones. Zerg advantage on Scrap Station is nothing compared to Terran on Steppes.

A Terran getting free pick of maps would be unfair. A Zerg, not so much.

It's EGs tournament and Idra is the "final boss"

It isn't suppose to be easy to win the computer, I don't get why everyone thinks everything is suppose to be 100% fair. That isn't the point. This is a bonus, an additional chance at something.

God dammit the "fair fair fair" bs that goes on non stop on this forum just gets old. Their rules, their tournament, and their final boss. You want the damn computer beat idra on his turf for it. Someone will eventually do it and it will be that much more epic.
