That was not a coin flip. Seriously, if people are raging that he went into the finals by cheesing every game (yeah right) then what does that say about his opponents? Bias is bias. Its stupid. What else do you call going cloaked banshees when you have no idea whether or not he actually took the bait? If MC had ignored the 2nd barracks or gotten a robo anyway then Rain was fucked.

"Yeah but he won lol" because he did boring as tactics and as IdrA said : "Even if it wins the game and is a valid tactic for some absurd reason, it's still boring and wothless from a perspective/fan viewpoint and that is detremental to the sport aswell." Meaning, he kills the sport, you nor anyone here can denay that Rain in the finals has made alot of people and viewers upset and less inclined to enjoy it. Sadly, our nerd rage upset equals less sponsor money equal less awesome e-sport events. Alot of people are just idiot ragers, I'm just sad Rain kills the sport and he knows it... apologising for it as he goes. Smart to win, but soulless. I would be more upset if Starcraft turned into WWE, sure it's entertaining to some people. But if a player isn't doing EVERYTHING in the race's ability to beat the other, then he threw away that game, he lost it on purpose, and that would upset me. Yes it's boring, but losing because you didn't do the most optimal thing, even though you know you could have won it is a mockery to Starcraft. imo

EDIT: if MC had gotten a robot then the banshee would have been annoying STILL - you need 3 observers as protoss and cant leave your base because early on you cant afford leaving so many stalkers behind. Cloak harass is a perfectly viable opening even without mindgames.

oGsMC goes 3 gate expand on Xel'Naga because it is a strong map for it (huge natural, practically requires 4 bunkers to truly be safe against a 3 gate rush), and Rain knows this. After showing MC the second barracks, the probability of MC going 3 gate expand with a delayed robo approach 1.

It's obvious to me that he made it here with a great deal of luck and strategic play. I also feel that Terran is favored in tournaments where cheese or "strategical" play is more frequent. They may not have an advantage in regular games but I feel that Terran tends to come out on top more often than not when not-so-standard BOs are pitted against each other. Their all-ins are more effective and so are their tech rushes. Thats called smart play : abusing your oponent weekness. I dont get all the sad whining ..

However sSKS is top 3 P and Fruitdealer top 2 Zerg + GSL S1 champion so.... Clide has gotta start doing something else besides lose in Ro64 or Ro32 as while I'm impressed with his play tournament finishes are the most important factor to how good you are. Fruitdealer/Tester are probably better players than clide, but neither of them are likely to have made rain's build as clide plays t and they don't. although i did see tester win his inclan tournament with t in the finals so who knows

And I can definitely predict MC winning. Oh..and did I mention... Rain A-MOVED HIS ENTIRE ARMY. Come on. ...A-MOVE!! (If you were watching, you would have realised it was an a-move. Figure out how and I give you a lollipop).

If MC was on a robo build, it wouldn't have worked, and Rain didn't know either way. 2.Excellent usage of the banshees In that first main push with all his army units, the banshees were front and centre... ready for stalkers to take them down. The most expensive units, and Rain just let them die. (OH - and he A-moved that attack.. you could tell from the marauders and rines on the side attacking the geyser structure). 3. Excellent play by Rain. Rain almost lost a game he had to definetely win from the blind build orders of both players. He ALMOST lost. Rain is a noob. Yikes.... posts like this show how little some people understand the game...

The form that is there is entry level compositional technique, and there is barely any clever rhyme or modulation. Its like a massive drone of amateur harmony and melody with predictable cliche changes and high/low points. Stuff like this really proves that if you just make something sound artificially busy that people will be into it. Just like how burger king commercials never let the camera stay still etc. its catchy and fun. unlike tons of western popmusic which is 99% downright crap(POPOPOPPOPOKERFACE) dont be so serious about it. also sometimes "bad" and simple stuff can be very good.look at vybz kartel in the dancehall scene. mostly super simple and tunes music but sooooo freakin catchy cause the guy has some magic.
