Yeah, it has to be zerg player who wins with macro, otherwise it is just 2 base all-in/cheese/other shit. Seriously...

just for the case that you didnt recognize: HQ is available for all

aLive definitely has some good micro here, keeping the whole bioball alive in the last battle. gg
|
how does this tourney work?
|
Well Ret didnt have enough banes in the end that was clear, question is where all his banes went ? >.<
|
Ret was far ahead, he just made a bunch of tiny mistakes - losing mutas here and there, sending all his banelings around to the back to chase the tiny army, threw banelings away off creep, etc. hopefully he does better next game.

wow ret lost to a terran that looked like a noob against july in gsl season 3.

Go back under your bridge troll.. aLive's micro verse those banelings at the end was pretty awesome.. No it wasn't.
So aLive's control was just a-moving right? Jesus .. sigh

apparently they have code A-caliber commentators for the code A tournaments.

I'm trying so hard to respect the skill terrans put into their play, but they keep killing my favourite respectable players with stim, run in, kill, run out and nothing can catch up to it. -.- Dunno if Ret just played bad or fell victim to a range that is impossible to close with fragile stuff like banes. :/ Hope the upcoming expansion does something about this.
edit: Even lurkers always felt kind of weak for the opening they would expose whenever they had to move, and they even had range to hit something. Imagine banelings with range lol.

so does ret have to win all of his next matches just to make it into code a?
|
Seemed like Ret had it, only needed to hold off that last push.
|
Basically u need to win at minimum 2 games to finish at top4 with the bit of luck. Winning 3 would probably seal the deal for ret so he still has 4 games left with his first loss.
Edit: The above only counts for Ret's group since there are 6 players instead of 8.
|
TBH both played bad. Terran's micro consisted of running his marines away while marauders shot... we can all do that. He did get a little fancier, but NOTHING in the fashion of boxer or clide or other good terran.
Ret had bad positioning and wrong unit composition. Lings are pretty much trash vs mass bio.
Marines should cost 75 minerals ;D

top 4 out of 6 get code A
|
1) Too bad Jinro and Idra are in the same group 2) Damn, that game made me wonder what Ret could have done, other than burrowed banelings and a bit of luck, I really couldn't think of anything.
|
Perhaps Ret isn't as good as we think he is? I know his creep spread is amazing, but that last game was maybe just nerves ):
|
Ret should have built some fucking Infestors.
