It will be a good series but I see it going 4-2 oGsMC. It'll be interesting to see the games though because both players like the early timing pushes. As a spectator I like the long macro games though. Not sure why everyone believes PvT are all short games. I'm thinking back to DreamHack and the finals there. Naama vs Mana was a really good series (especially Game 3 probably the best game I've ever seen)

game 1 jinro played really really bad, didnt keep attacking with the marines. Maybe he was shocked at the zealots or something not sure. Havent watched the rest though

I still can't figure out what exactly went wrong in game one that he lost to 1-gate pressure, and it seemed like he just lost confidence going from there. Well hey, Jinro did clinch S-Rank this season at least! So we'll get to see him next year where he can amaze us all again :D Well the bunker wasn't up yet (and was further delayed by the SCV dieing). He then lost marines while trying to kite the zealot as well as the SCVs he had to pull. So when the stalkers arrived he just didn't have enough stuff left to fend it off, especially since he was going 1:1:1 or Thor rush. He may have had a better time of it if he had been constantly producing hellions and used them to launch a more aggressive harass on MC or pulled them back to clean out the zealots. 1 rax 1 fact is probably a pretty risky opening to do on Steppes.

Their skill level aren't as different as the games showed. MC just showed that he knew Jinro inside and out, every tendency, every build. MC didn't play like he usually does (i.e that 2 Zealot pressure). Everything was designed for Jinro, and done very well. Can't wait to see him roll Rain!

I'm a zerg player, but it still was nuts to me how quickly those bunkers went down and how little they did with those FFs up. To those who play PvT: Would Jinro have faired better or worse by getting stim or combat shield before conc shells? It seemed like he never made use of conc shells and had a marine heavy army to start. Stim seems like it would have helped him a lot to deal with those early pushes and with an rax->expand strategy conc shells seems kind of wasted as a first upgrade.

Game 1: Jinro dies to single gateway pressure (not proxy'd, not all-in) Game 2: MC expands early, long before the initial push (count: 2 base). Game 4: Jinro goes for a proxy thor rush (not exactly a macro build). 2 games out of 4 were all in/cheese by MC (game3 and 4). It is not a dig at him or anything, just did not expect him doing that.

Going DTs is not all in, that's ridiculous to say. He has to do damage to stay in the game, but it's not all in. Even the VR play he could have transitioned out of if he dealt a reasonable amount of damage.

Watching the four matches today as well as the Nestea matches the other day reminded me of watch WoW's arena play, where you knew things outside of player's abilities were controlling as much of the outcome or more than the players themselves. Major let down as far as entertainment value.

Either it is rush coinflip, OR, it will be a longer game where it is Ball vs Ball moving around with the same speed trying to find the best position to attack. I feel Blizzard strongly need to make PvT more interesting to watch, since now even the mirrors are more interesting. Keep in mind this is not balance I am talking about, for all I care Stalkers could have a special nuke the whole map-ability, as long as it is interesting to watch. But if I were the Terran I would do my best to cheese a win in the first 5 minutes, since the longer the game goes the less my chances of winning are, so probably no match will go past 8 minutes. Where are the days where I sat astounded of how impossibly good the players were, knowing I could never do what they are doing? Blizzard must do balance changes, not to balance the game, but to force PvTs to be worth to watch. Bullshit, TvZ is fucking boring with lings, banelings, mutal vs marines PvT involves everything in the games, HTs,Colo, VRs, Carriers, DTs everything vs MMM,ghost, vikings, thors, banshee. In late game, nothing better than seeing ghost and EMP,dropship everywhere.

If you almost kill your opponent then yeh, you can transition out of it lol.
