You may come to watch and hang out. There are no restrictions on that, we just don't have any kind of audience seating in order to accommodate spectators. But we, of course, welcome everyone to come to watch. @thesauceishot The entry fee increased for several reasons. Our contract with the venue was adjusted to further their favor, so part of the increased fee goes towards that adjustment. We also wanted to increase the prize pool and a larger prize pool would allow us to sweeten the prize. We had also taken a informal survey during the first tournament and it was found that many players felt the original entry fee was a bit low and that for a great venue like eSpot, a minor increase in fee would be acceptable. Thus, considering both the responses of the players, our own personal intention of promoting the e-sports community in the Lower Mainland, the volunteered effort of organizing the tournament, and the lack of profit made, we are justified in increasing the entry fee. Regardless, as mentioned in my previous response, you should still bring your friends down to hang out and see the event as it unfolds. After all, we just want to provide an environment for the community to grow.

You don't have to register ahead of time, of course you may register at the door... But it will be first come, first serve. by registering, you will be guaranteed a slot, as opposed to having to race for the in person slot. Also, even if you register and an emergency or some unforeseen circumstance arises, preventing you from attending, you will simply be written off as a no-show. There is no other real punishment, unless you end up consistently no-showing...

I just realized, I get paid on the 7th(my cheque won't clear till like, a week later), and I spent all my money on Christmas Gifts. So i'm currently unsure if I can come cause of the entry fee ?_?

Just come anyway, you don't have to play in the tournament. Like mentioned above, spectators are allowed to come. If you find that you wish to play some SC2 but not enter the tournament, depending on the tournament turn out, there may be options for us to accommodate you with a computer to only play games for $6 for the duration of the tournament. Of course, if there's a full turn out, you'll be forced to only view from the sidelines. Still, it is about the environment, after all. Just come and have some fun.

Well, I wouldn't bother coming if I'm not playing, to be honest. I'd prefer to get paid for going to work than not getting paid to go possibly play some games. I guess i'll see if I can get 20$. Bleh.

... Well, there's no pressure for you to take time off of work in order to attend. >_< Obviously, your presence would further add to the growing esport spirit we are trying to promote, but real life responsibilities are much more pressing. Please do not fret over this particular tournament. Considering the previous turn out of the first tournament and the current prospects for the upcoming one, I'm confident of a tQ Live #3 occurring in February. So, mind not the pressure for this one, but rather prepare for the next one, if that would give you piece of mind.
