All in all I think removing the veto system has screwed Z this GSL, the maps currently have like 6 good maps for Z (some with bad spawn positions) and 1 really bad (steppes). With the veto system zerg never ever played steppes and couln't care about a good map being removed (scrap usually). Now Z got steppes quite often in the tourney AND some critical players had unlucky spawns on LT and meta (for example idra). PvZ is imo just fine and FD simply got outplayed hard by Hongun, in fact FD has a pretty louse ZvP imo. He only had to play it once before in GSL which he won by cheesing a poor playing Inca... PvP finals would be great! (it would be the first PvP of the tournament? 4th total in GSL history i think). It's a crappy matchup at subtop level as there is too mcuh cheese but at the highest level it's actually a decent matchup imo as 4 gates are rarely used by the best protoss (because it's not that good).

First of all they are zergs (no wonder why so much hype) and at that level where they play, zerg is the most favoured race. They lost because they didn't adapt to the game. Don't blame all ins, blame them because of not knowing how to deal with them. It seems that you want every race just to do FE against FE zerg and play macro game, sorry, won't happen. I'm a Terran player, but I think oGsMC is the new power in GSL3. I don't think that Foxer will win, because it seems that Protoss are doing against Terran way too good. Nestea, Fruitdealer, IdrA, Ret and pretty much every other top zerg having big trouble with those all ins, so maybe those all ins ARE that strong? And they shouldn't be strong vs 14 hatch ? no, they shouldn't be as strong as they are because zerg needs to outexpand toss and terran anyway (and this is just to be on par) and because it's fucking boring if every game ends in less than 10 minutes.

As in, I see no gas terran = marine/scv all in likely = no 14 hatch, etc. Can't go 14 hatch every game and expect to win always, opponents WILL adapt and teams will practice strategies directed to counter this build. No gas can also indicate fast expo.. interesting its like the build is just that flexible. =O ( the clear response to a FE terran is also a FE btw, cool -.-) Side note: funny how u say u cant expect to go 14 hatch and win every game. I swear i just heard in TSL_Rains interview that he didnt have much practice so he did this strategy, which means u can expect to go double rax and win ever game? interesting...

You can win every game if your opponent makes a 14 hatch every game, it's just a direct counter, kinda like saying 'Hey dude, let's play rock, paper, scissors, I'll go rock every time'. And if you see no gas and opt to make some units, then dont see the all in, then expand, you'll be a little behind but you won't be dead. I still believe the best zerg builds in this tournament were July's ones, they just were more solid all-round, MC just played too good in their matches.

Srsly, 2 GSL winners were zergs and STILL people whine about how "nerfed" zerg is? If these two GSL players lost, then grats to the winners. To be fair tester did amazing in GSL S1 (top 4) and hes an amazing player only in season 2 did protoss not deliver. Dunno why u had to bring up why zergs hard thats just going to make people troll you, also yes hongun played very well... TSL_Rain not so much but i mean its only 87 grand anyways we as spectators only want to see the most deserving player win, which IMO should be jinro or MC bec they have shown the most solid play out of everyone all season.

Yes, i did like july's opening alot i do agree but i also think that double rax forces that build which is less economical for literally no reason, 14 hatch or 14 pool 15 hatch is way better in the long run. For 1 EARLY builds like double rax should not completely deny an expo it's just insane, u can hold a 4 gate off a FE, u can hold off almost anything with a FE, except a double rax which is really dumb. Basically zerg can't force any builds upon their opponent until the 9-12 minute mark, so forcing fast speed into expo every game because double rax is just that versatile is just bleh, and tbh double rax doesn't even set back terran its just that solid it's disgusting. In a way you could say that double rax is the zergs 14 hatch, because they always open with it except it has no downside. Also the zerg cannot punish a terran that double rax's.. sigh got my sadface on right now.

Looking forward to Jinro vs Hongun finals (eventually Hongun vs MC - that would be first PvP this season right?)

When the hatch actually has time to complete, you will ALWAYS be better off than if you'd gone pool first, agaist rushes. Pool first is more likely to die to 2-rax.

Not really to much to comment on for todays matches was the biggest let down of all time. Hopefully pvt is a more stable matchup go jinro and MC!! I agree with you, all-ins are discouraging. The good thing about this tournament in particular is that Jinro seems to be able to handle any all-in from his opponents and his mid to late game is devastating. Its all in his favor. Go Jinro.
