Spectators must get permission from both players prior to the match starting, with the exception of referees and casters.
The first match of each round will be determined as follows: Ro128: Lost Temple Ro64: Metalopolis Ro32: Xel Naga Caverns Ro16: Shakuras Plateau Ro8: Scrap Station Semi: Xel Naga Caverns Finals: Scrap Station All matches will be played as a best of 3 except for the semi-finals and finals, which will be played as a best of 5. Each subsequent map will be determined by the loser of the previous match.
All replays need to be provided.
Any racial slurs, hacking, or any other behavior deemed inappropriate will lead to a player being disqualified and banned from all future competitions.
Disconnects will be replayed if it occurs in the first minute of the match. Otherwise, the player who did not disconnect can force a win or allow a replay.
The brackets will be posted on challonge.com once 128 players have signed up.

If you referee, you can't play in the tournament. Basically, I can't add 128 players to my "friends" list. So I can't actually keep track of all 128 players. I'd need some one to help me manage the matches (basically, make sure everyone is there and playing their matches).

I'd like to have a few set casters for the tournament. So, who would be interested in casting and would you want to cast live or on youtube?

I would love to cast or vod the game of this tournament but I only do the commentary in Thai Language. If you think it fine or if you want Thai people to know about this tournament please let's me know.

I have more money than I need. $300 isn't that much really but it's enough to get some semi-pros/pros interested and to have a fun tournament :-)
I'm in Indonesia, living as an expat. The banks won't let me set up a paypal account and since I haven't lived in the states since 2000, I can't open a bank account there either.

|
On November 16 2010 13:54 MatiNO wrote: hey, do we have to wait until that date or we can schedule to play anytime before that?
Yes. Tried to let people play ahead but it caused to much confusion and to many no shows last time. So I think it's best if everyone is required to play at the same time. Also, that way if there are any no shows, I can replace them with the numerous other players that want in.
|
|
You still need referees? I think I can help.
I can also do some casting if you wish. Maybe make VODs of some games and stuff. :D

Dogsi won't be personally directing all the matches - there are referees (such as myself) who can assist with that, so the RO128 will be easily do-able in a single night.

The same night. Generally, a "match" can be finished in less than an hour. 132, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2. So, roughly 7 hours. It will be a long tournament but hopefully people won't delay when their matches are up.

I know. Dogsi said the entire tournament would be done in a single day - it shouldn't be that hard for him to spend 77 and a half hours overseeing every single one of the 387 games that'll be taking place.
Frankly, I don't understand why he needs refs at all.

I've had a few people ask how to get in if there are no shows. It's rather simple, be online at the scheduled time and send me a message in the game. After the no shows are disqualified, I'll be letting people waiting on standby in to the tournament on a first come basis.

Yes, first map of the ro128 is LT. The loser picks the next map (must be ladder maps so no user made maps).
