Yeah problem with Nydus Worm play is however that it demands a LOT, LOT micromanagement. Caring for Creep Tumors during those sneak attacks? Hard thing to do :/
But should've spread it so much faster and didn't try to take out those 1-2 warpgates :/

Even though I thought that that Nydus to retreat to was smart, I feel that Zenio shouldn't have attacked into the Protoss' choke with those Hydras in the first place =/. They just got Forcefielded and owned.
Zenio could have had a 3rd base if he had just kept his army in a concave outside the Protoss' natural, so that Protoss couldn't push out without getting surrounded instead of trying to end the game so quickly. I think he just underestimated HongUn's army and lost too much to forcefields .
Very cool Nydus play from Zenio though - that was great .

Yeah it would make a big difference and wouldn't really throw off balance.

It's amazing how much better Vikings are vs colossi than the unit that is supposed to hard counter them... Corruptors.

Well in that case he might have not made as many hydras, spent the 200/200 for the nydus channel on a spire and ripped up the Protoss army. Who knows?

Hydralisks are just the worst unit in the game. He should have got like 10 hydras to piss him off on the high ground then gone straight for ultras.
I've never lost a PvZ where zerg went hydras, 1 collosus > like 50 hydras.
I'm a protoss player but that game was sad, deserved to go to zerg.

Pffff Zerg plays beautifully and still loses.

lol. He killed his main nexus. How is that defending cost effectively? Some of these comments are just mental.

He didnt had the right unit composition, his corruptors were too late causing him to sacrifice a lot of hydras in the middle battle. I knew it looked ugly the instant the protoss had those collossii and the zerg didnt have any counter to it.

Not falling down to pressure and staying calm in a televised game = harder than you think

The nydus isn't useless at all, he used it effectively that game to snipe the main nexus and apply pressure from the ledge. He simply should've cut all hydra production when he saw the colossus and made pure roach while he waited for the spire to finish.

wow that was a good game by both players.

send (a super pro zerg) likes to attack with hydras and put a nydus worm behind the hydras to retreat quickly since hydras move so slow off creep and units load into nydus super super fast
that was the purpose of the nydus. for fast retreat. only works well super lategame though

That was ridiculous, he took out a nexus and still lost... Collosi are too good. The nydus was soooo cost effective. The lost mining time was probably at least 500 minerals + the 400 for the nexus + the 2 assimilators + the lost gas mining time which a few hundred at least, the zerg lost like 2 hydras.
Then a death ball comes out and rapes the much more expensive army.

The worms were good. I just don't know why he engaged when he didnt even have any corruptors. If he only had a few more corruptors the game wouldve been his
