The entire argument is so stupid. It doesn't even matter if WoW was the easiest thing in the world or rocket science. Why would him playing WoW exclude him from being a good sc2 player? It makes no sense at all. It's like saying that you can't be good at starcraft if you enjoy jogging (jogging is easy).
I hope thats a joke. How can you compare the casual joggers with the hardcores. You have any idea how much stamina it takes to jog as long as some of the pros? I'm talking MILES. That's like saying anyone in diamond league has a good chance against players like idra and white ra. Please don't be so ignorant.

TL people have this elitist attitude which kind of derives from the BW days, but realistically there are many games nowadays which require people to be just as on top of their game as SC 2, at least in terms of unit control and APM. WoW pvp is still horrible because the game wasnt built for it and has to cater to two different crowds of people. It will never take as much skill as SC 2. High level arena takes at least as much skill as Sc2. Random wow pvp takes as much skill as dominating the bronze league does. I think your miking the 2 up. No, it doesnt. The fact Blizzard has to try and balance around two different aspects of the game makes it inherently more imbalanced.
Have you ever even seen high level wow arena? Ever watched it in person? The amount of things that go on in a single match boggles the mind. Balance has little to do with how much skill people have in top level play... If you knew anything about the pro arena scene, you would know that there is no 1 specific comp is dominating it.

Pretty good first day of MLG! Had a rough start with delays and crappy roflstomping matches, but it picked up with some a few epic games. Can't wait for Day 2.
Oh and nadagast progressing so far might seem like the end of the world with people's perception of WoW being EZ mode gaming. Still it shows how versatile a gamer he is. Most pro gamers stick to only 1 genre if not only 1 game.

The amount of skill required to play a game professionally depends almost entirely on the skill of other players. Therefore basically any competitive game has the potential to be the hardest game ever to play professionally. The only reason Brood War takes more skill than other games is because of it's popularity. Any game that can reward players with hundreds of thousands of dollars a year is going to be fucking hard to play.
I disagree. Certain games have a higher potential skill ceiling than others. I'm not comparing WoW to SC2 and BW, just saying that in general I disagree with your point.

This is getting derail into a WoW vs SC2, is incredible how you people can somehow bring up WoW for just about anything. Stick to the awesome SC2 match discussion

WoW arena definatly provides situational awareness and prevents alot of tunnel visioning so yeah it translates for sure

Yes, I know that -- high end arena is ~3000, maybe higher now. I played wow a long time, I still follow the arena scene today. Wow is a retarded game, you see the last tournament? Even the global champions from last year tried to run retarded comps they have never played before to try to beat the other team. In the end its what it comes down to, counter comping, its actually quite disgusting that people win so much money for playing this game. Theres skill in any game, especially a team game where you have to be coordinated. In the end wow is just a cash cow and blizzard does not really care about this game in the competitive scene.

My point flew completely over your head, didn't it? Unless i'm missing some form of sarcasm or i'm getting trolled. I'm tired after all nighter watching MLG so it's possible.

I suppose that it is true that if a game's skill ceiling is too low then the results will be mostly random and chaotic for the top players (assuming they have reached that ceiling) so I do concede that point.

WoW pvp is absolute trash and has been that way forever. It's always been a game dominated by flavor of the month compositions and abusing whatever happens to be the most OP at any given time.

What makes wow pvp challenging is not the same than what makes sc2 challenging, can't really say it requires the same skill when the gameplay is entirely different I'm not going to bash nadagast though, it's not a crazy idea to be good at two different games.
I wouldn't argue that the game play is the same, just the skill set. Both require insane awareness, high apm, and the ability to adapt to changing situations while keeping your cool.
Of course no random WoW player who jumps into Sc2 is going to dominate. But when your like Nadagast and dedicate the time and energy to learn it, a lot of the things that make you good at being a pro-wow player will translate.

The state of the game is so fluid it's had dozens of compositions that were optimal or best. WoW is a mess with pvp balance and starting en e-sport out of that is flawed to begin with.

How can you balance a game with so many spells? They can't even balance War3. >_>

we went from talking about how good nadagast is to bashing wow arena
he's probably the best warlock in the world, it doesn't matter how shitty wow arena is but i have to say he's a really good player at sc2.

For the record, masq is a very high rated paladin who has all the server first titles and multiple first in battlegroup titles for pvp.
Everyone that has lost to him (Idra) got rocked by wow nerds.

Stop talking about WoW....Geez, nobody cares about WoW in this forum.

Can we get on topic and maybe talk about the upcoming matches tomorrow?
