If you play mostly Zerg you should probably stick to the Zerg version, it can also be used for infrequent off-racing as the off races are also set up, but with lower priority than the main race. If you're looking to play all 3 races similarly you should probably take the Random layout, as it's balanced in efficiency in every race and more "allround". P|T|Zxx are optimized for the main race and the off races are made as easy as possible to learn (when you mastered the main race hotkeys) Rxx are optimized with consistency between all races hope this helps

I can simply change numpad 0,1,2..,8,9 to add + remove command, so spite it having to move my hand, it is simply a 1 click-pony. This may not be the most ergonomic solution, but due to relative ease I decided to post my solution :D

Before I was using O for hatch/CC/nex and I for production buildings/queens but now I isn't a control group there doesn't seem to be one free that's in a comfortable place that uses one of the three stronger fingers. What key do other people put buildings on for RRM? did you check out the suggested cgs? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/140gNhKs_1VCG6JJ9ijvEblKI9UQcpUKDTPap5t_kBeU/edit#gid=774622823

I am using RRM and am a UK Qwerty user with Alt Graph. So I have used the changes Tinder suggested for camera keys effectively banishing the Add to Group keys to the Alt Key (to far away so wont get used but because they are bound SC2 will not display the hotkeys unbound message thankfully) I am also beginning the LOTV campaign and so noticed a lot of problems with keys for campaign only units so am trying my best to rebind them

I ended up removing - from rapid fire on RRM as that is also the hotkey for load. It allows me to hold down the load button with medivacs for tanks as rapid fire load only seems useful if the medivacs are already directly over a group of tanks.

I can simply change numpad 0,1,2..,8,9 to add + remove command, so spite it having to move my hand, it is simply a 1 click-pony. Consider how much your hand/fingers must move to press those keys. Then consider how much motion is required to press two keys that are close to the resting position. This is not more easy, it is more difficult. Be careful of getting caught up in the "it's just one press instead of two" pitfall. Instead always consider total physical effort. Gecko, The fingers with the most potential for dexterity and independent movement (strength isn't important here) are in order from best to worst: pinky index middle ring So whatever you feel is most important should go on your pinky home key control group. Whatever you feel is 2nd most important should go on your middle finger control group. Concerning injects, it no longer is reliable to use a control group, I suggest boxing or clicking in conjunction with location hotkeys. blaze13, thanks for the heads up, put it on my list for the next batch of files.

I did some reading and realized that I "add steal" and "create steal" are the bigger focus than "create control group." I however have never used add steal or create steal. Can someone give me a quick rundown on how this works so I can start doing it? If you could link a video, maybe that would help. I myself have not had luck on google or youtube. Thanks!

Can someone give me a quick rundown on how this works so I can start doing it? If you could link a video, maybe that would help. I myself have not had luck on google or youtube. Thanks! Not sure about a video, but I can try to explain it quickly. Imagine you have a bunch of lings in control group 1, and you morph some into banes. You want to banes in control group 2 only. Using the old create control group method, you'd have to add the banes to control group 2, and then go back to control group 1, deselect the banes from there, and then recreate control group 1 to remove the banes. With steal, all you have to do is add the banes to control group 2. "steal" means that it will automatically remove them from control group 1 for you, which saves you a lot of time. The downside to doing this is that it means you can't have units in more than one control group. If you are a player who likes to do this in some situations, you can customise which groups use steal and which use the old create method. For example against terran, I like to have lings and banes on one control group, and just banes on another. So for my main army hotkey I use the old "create", and for all the rest I use "steal". This means I can morph banes, add them to control group 2, then add them back to control group 1, to get lings and banes on 1, and only banes on 2.

I have waited a long time in hopes it would not come to this, but if I have to relearn and rebind keys on my own, mightaswell switch back

0.0.16 ? I don't remember that version. Why can you not update your hotkeys for LotV? Do you have a specific question? brook Really busy with other stuff, the team is working on improving the program, but I haven't been able to work on the seed files.
