Brook, Chameleon is the old version of TheCore Lite TheCore+ will be done eventually, lot more important projects before that one, like TheCore Interesting idea, I definitely have been considering giving it priority, but the modifier synergy on ctrl+shift is too good IMO. Maybe for the non-zerg layouts.
JaKaTaKSc2 Thank you for answering I'm using fixed RRM3.0. TheCore+ key setting,(shift > ctrl, app > shift, ctrl > alt) ctrl > addsteal shift > createsteal ctrl+shift > recallcam alt > createcam When I play random, I'm not uncomfortable without add(create).

I hear the talk about TheCore+ but it's only really giving in little hints to what the thing actually is. So if I am to understand it from putting everything together, is TheCore+ supposed to be the next phase for TheCore in terms of efficiency and speed?
I understand if this is an annoying question considering how many other projects you've got on your hand and how many times it's come up, but I feel that with the lack of information about it that's the root cause for all the questions on it.
Either that or I'm just blind and can't find the post about it, haha.

For anyone familiar with the map, there would just be a 5th and 6th selection pylon that would drill you on creating/recalling control groups/cameras.
Cheers!
I am cheering for this for years. See posts at /r/starcraft as well as on Twitter.
We should Kickstart it with some more money than I am willing to invest.

Hi propagare. I've been thinking about ceating a bounty for this and posting it in the Maps & Custom Games section. Would you be interested in going halves on the bounty?
I've had a cursory look at the map in the editor and I'm sure it would be fairly simple for someone who knows what they're doing and has a little time to spend on it. I could probably do it myself but I hardly have any time to even play at the moment.
PM me if you like propagare. If anyone here is interested in modding the map for a bounty then PM me.
Coming back to SC after a long break (Think WoL long). Will be looking into the Core 3.0 ZRM and have an Alt Gr so some remapping will be in order. Looking the the spreadsheet linked in the first page which page closely resembles the latest version of hotkeys so I can print and learn these while at work?
Z.Overview Pr.Z. Overview Re.Z. Overview (I'm guessing its not this one as it is labelled as outdated)
Are all the learning videos still applicable or are these mainly for Core 1.0?
TheCore+ is an idea, it has yet to actualize into a set of layouts, but the work we're doing with TheCoreRemapper.py will be of huge assistance to speed up its production once it becomes more than an idea. There are 2 or 3 people who have prototype versions customized for them including myself and PiG. When there's more to tell, I'll let you know
Z. Ability is correct, but none of the overview tabs have been updated yet.
Ahli is working on a hotkey trainer that includes control groups (he's the guy who keeps up the gameheart overlay, very skilled). It is a much more difficult task than it would first seem, especially for those of us who change the control groups.
The Core TRM for swiss layout doesnt have add to control group and creat camara location hotkeys. i bound the cam location creat to alt. what do you sugest for the add controll group?

from OP: Currently Known Unbounds/Misbounds for 3.0 set location keys unbound in keyboard layout with Alt Gr
from OP FAQ for 3.0: 1. Why are add- and create control group so hard to press? We have decided to replace the binds for add/create with add steal/create steal. We have come to believe the gain in efficiency (faster steal keys) is greater than the loss of utility (shared control groups).

this is covered in the Customization section of the OP
Thx i already saw this one. it just feels like caps is not reachable XP. but im sure ill find some otherone that fits. I did as u discribed in the guide alot of hotkey training today aswell as some micro stuff to get used to it asap. gona do a bit of unit moving and uphotkey different armey now as well as camarahotkey traing now. the core rly feels worth to learn so far. the only problem i have is the usage of my thumb. is there a table or somewhat that showes which key i should hit with which finger? thans alot for ur help i apriciate that.

CameraTurnRight in TRM Swiss is Enter - in TLM USQwerty it is CapsLock. I dont know the swiss layout - maybe there is a error in the KeyboardLayouts.ini (https://github.com/JaKaTaK/TheCoreConverter/blob/master/KeyboardLayouts.ini) When the layout is converted from Left to Right CapsLock becomes BackSlash. When the layout is than translated from USQwerty to swiss BackSlash becomes Enter (I am not sure Enter is correct). can you provide a picture of a normal swiss keyboard? Or is it like one of these?
When you bind the key that ist next to enter on the Caps row (not the tab row) in sc2 and save it in a SC2Hotkey file - what string is it? Also do we need to support two swiss layouts? Which one of the two is the one in KeyboardLayouts.ini?

OP -> Resources -> Visual Aides -> Which finger should generally press what key
remove the keys between [Alt] and [Ctrl] for a better experience
Hey everyone, I got to know starcraft when i was a little boy (7) and i saw my father play it and already back then he told me to correctly learn the hotkeys when i want to play a game and now here i am doing my first post in a hotkey forum. Sorry for long intro
I started to use the Core about 5 Months ago when i started to play again after a about 1,5 year break (start of wol) I wanted to systematically get my mechanics straight in the most efficient, fast and exact way possible and now i wonder if you guys think it is worth it to invest another big chunk of time into upgrading from the core 2 rrm (which i took because i wanted to learn all the races first before deciding to play and tryhard a single one) to either 3.0 rrm or even 3.0 zrm (i decided to stick with zerg until i reach at least low masters... i reached diamond pretty fast thx to the core). I just feel like the changes in the modifyers are a rather small change/improvement but quite punishing for small messups. I just want the fastest possible improvement and i also invest quite some time into learning the different setups so in the longrun would the relearning of all the hotkeys for the different races make sense? I Appreciate any kind of Comment on anything of the above, id also appreciate a PM/add if there are people who want to discuss anything specific or other systematic mechanic approach stuff and/or do focused practice sessions.
For all the People who want to get used to a Hotkeysetup quickly, here is a nice tool a fellow gamer made quite some time ago, but it still does a decent job combined with the ingame hotkey trainer http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/357033-program-hotkey-trainer if anyone needs help with the setup pm
Furthermore i have some suggestions for addition in 3.0 ZRM: Creep1 Camera Hotkeys Ctrl + ö (assign/bind location: Ctrl + ä) Creep2 Camera Hotkeys Ctrl + j (bind Ctrl + m) Rally Camera Hotkeys Ctrl + p (bind Ctrl + ß (german layout)) Creeptumor "H" This Setup makes it possible to spread creep while holding down control and alternating between pinky and index in the left hand and using mb1+ctrl for selecting all the creeptumors in the camera location and i use mb3 for repositioning the camera precisely and quickly with the ground drag method for the next tumors.
Keep up the great Work and thx for Responses aFrowl
add in steal functions (probably replace normal add/steal for all or some CGs)
add in LotV units and abilities if you haven't already
remove RF smart command (disabled in LotV)
If you can, use the key once set to RF smart command to improve your layout (any functions on slower keys than w/e RF smart command was on can be improved)
In general its not worth upgrading to the most up-to-date version of TheCore. Instead learn one version and customize it as new techniques are discovered.
I am a plat Zerg who just switched to The Core five days ago and wanted to share some of my thoughts here because it has been an amazing experience so far.
First day was horrible, after hours of trying to find the layout for my keyboard and several things not working as expected, I finally learned how to setup my camera and base hotkeys and produce drones.
On the second day I started to notice some of the main advantages like easier injecting and jumping between bases but I still couldn't focus on my build nor control the army.
When I got bored with constant drills and trainers, I made an account on another realm and scored a long lose streak against silver players. Was fun
Third day was a crisis, I was thinking about going back to Grid, because new resting position wasn't yet comfortable and my fingers still wanted to reach left side of the keybord unconsciously. I just felt helpless and banging my head on the wall.
The fourth day was when the biggest progress happened. After many hours of drills I reprogrammed my muscle memory and was already back at my previous APM (~130-140) but still couldn't control my army correctly. I played some more games on my side-account (got promoted from silver to gold) and started a new Zerg campaing on Brutal focusing 100% on controllng my units using two army hotkeys. Finally I went to sleep around 3AM :D
Today morning I came back to some drills and noticed big progress in my control and build execution. Catching the wind of it, I decided to try some more ladder games and see what happens.
Result? 140-170 APM, way better than before, much smoother build execution, almost perfect injects, I am finding more time to creep spread, watch my money and minimap and even did some overlord drops today ^^
I am litteraly blown away because after I switched from the standard layout to the grid a couple of months ago, I noticed only a slight performance increase after long time of practice.
With The Core I am now in God Mode I never had before after just 5 days of practice! Not bud, huh?
PS: And the game just became so much fun since I never have to reach far with my fingers. It's like playing an instrument!
I downloaded the UK qwert ZRM layout but the create camera hotkeys are unbound, when I go to bind them to alt+O etc it comes up as ctrl+alt+O and takes away the control group binding, how can I add it to just alt+O?

Well then my friend your alt key on the right side is an alt gr key, like on mine. So it is supposed to be ctrl+alt+O for the right alt. Control groups binding is not supposed to be used, so its no big deal, make new keybinds for create camera hotkeys with the right alt button(ctrl+alt+O etc) and then you're done.
