Well, you can for most things, just not things that appear on the command card. Things such as as Base Cam Cycle, Idle Workers, anything else, really, can be assigned to combinations. | ||

Jak was complaining about HotS since Zerg needs 11 abilities due to larvae, so I did some brainstorming and came up with the idea of using ctrl in conjunction with some ability buttons. It didn't work, of course. | ||

I have no idea why that would be happening. Make sure you are trying to recall a camera that has been set! Also make sure you are pressing Ctrl+shift before you presss POIJ or ; | ||

The first step in making this layout was to find the area on the keyboard which allowed for the most easily available keys, while still having access to shift, because shift-clicking cannot be changed. ...or changing the keys for control groups or camera locations or changing the majority of unit production keys (rather than just a handful)? The way the layout is set up, this is entirely possible, yet an overhaul in this area is very very unlikely before HotS comes out (Mostly Z will be affected, however I don't even know if T and P will be affected at all). Jak has a section of his development spreadsheet which shows the list of most accessible keys on the layout based on a penalty system which takes every hand restraint into account. Everything is based on this list. When HotS comes out, that's when Jak has to make a decision about how often Defilers and Lurkers will be used. If Jak decides they aren't used often, they could be placed on g and y, changing none of the control groups. If he decides they are, then the majority of the control groups might be bumped up two levels, changing a LOT. Again, that situation is unlikely. Mostly cameras would likely be affected. Or, he could wait until the metagame shifts away from experimentation with new units. Either that or after the first major HotS tournament with replays available occurs. I don't even know if the release of HotS will change anything as much as you are saying, though. On one hand it makes Z have 11 (!!) abilities due to larvae, but on the other hand it might not be as much of an issue as it seems. It might not be an issue at all. LotV, on the other hand, will do some damage if it brings in two more new zerg units available from larvae, bumping it to 13. | ||

I also disabled all programs running in the background to see if they could be causing the problem, but the problem persisted. If anybody has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it! | ||

You are awesome! FAQ edited! Concerning the concern of the ever-evolving developing and upgrading of TheCore. Each edit has gotten smaller since 0.2. Since that time there has been 0.3, 0.3.1, and 0.3.2 which was just released. To give you an idea of what we're optimizing at this point... TheCore 0.3.2 is released!!! -High Templar and Sentry abilities improved! -Hallucination priority applied to all layouts (no random keys for hallucinate probe) So at this point we're down to the fine details. If something new comes to our attention that we didn't know before, there could be major changes, but at this point, its unlikely that that would happen.
