I was wondering if any Zerg player tried the random version yet and if it's good? I was thinking about playing some random for fun, but I'm still mainly Zerg, so it might be a bit difficult and I don't wanna adjust the hotkeys before every game depending on the race that got picked... thanks

![]() Should i pick up RRM 2.0? Or it's still too wonky for a beginner that knows next to nothing in SC2 to use, and RRM 1.0 would be better for me?

Completely new to Starcraft 2 here (just picked up the game a few days ago), looking to skip learning default hotkeys completely and just start with TheCore ![]() Should i pick up RRM 2.0? Or it's still too wonky for a beginner that knows next to nothing in SC2 to use, and RRM 1.0 would be better for me? in my short experience maybe start wiht the 1.0 trainer hotkey and then se whats up with the 2.0 version jakatack maybe need more tiem to get the files and etcetecetcetc(lots of work ), so in the meantime go for 1.0 unless you are a random player. disclaimer: somep post before it was told that random version was not so different than terran and protoss version so maybe that could help you in your decision

I think the hotkeys for the Creep Cams in RRM 2.0 are missing. I am talking about those: ![]() Also Controle+SemiColon is used for jumping to camera 7 and not for spreading creep. (At least in the german version, but after looking into the hotkey file on github, i think this also applies to the us version) Other than that, I am pretty happy with TheCore 2.0. I am still getting used to it and find my self mixing up the hotkeys that are 'ordersensitiv' like [I]+[;] for forge and [;]+[I] for Gateway. But I think this will disappear with more practice. Also it is pretty hard to find all the gimicks that are hidden in the mutliple ways to assign screen locations and other stuff, but it is fun to explore ![]() Thanks for your hard work, YoTcA edit: link fixed

New players: USE RRM 2.0 All 4 race selections will be using the same home key set up. Most changes will be in ability priority.

I see that there is those tabs now into the Core master spreadsheet: "Z. Ability Map", "Z. Key-use Overview" and "Z. Consistency" Is this the new 2.0 Zerg beta layout? Are you going to make the hotkey file from this layout? Thanks.

There are others too, but they seem to be justified by consistency for Random, i.e. Fusion Core on 8 and Ghost Academy on Open Bracket EDIT: Oh, I didn't notice build structure has an alternate. Sneaky ![]()

![]() slash is unused for toss basic buildings because they have 7 and TZ have 8. mostly consistency reasons. That is the essence of Random, compromises must be made so all 3 races are equally optimized. In general slash for a building is a bit #dicey though because of potential finger repetition. baneling nest and sensory tower are more special cases than anything.

Oh, and one more thing, why isn't Apostrophe listed on the key-score page for the master spreadsheet?

thats a glitch, the spreadsheet shows ' as blank and '' as ' https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/140gNhKs_1VCG6JJ9ijvEblKI9UQcpUKDTPap5t_kBeU/edit?usp=sharing

![]() Will the hotkey file be 100% based on the spreadsheet above? Then we could already transfer the keys manually into the files? thanks ; )

EDIT: Is there a suggested Camera location per camera key? Lets say Shift+O 0 9 L for base 1,2,3,4 since the Orbital Command recommended CG key is O... et cetera? Currently I am training via Staircase Step 1 and have all Marines added to CG H for Ranged immediately - how should i split my army into multiple CG if i would like two - three separate teams to be at home and attacking? Map the attacking ones are the two Harrass CGs? (But then, from step 2 onwards I would probably add Reapers or Stalkers into these groups...) I hope I am not overthinking this and these are actually just based on preference. But from one of the tutorials I was told to use hotkey early and be consistent about them to learn quickly. Sorry if all this newbie question just seem a tad dumb or trivial. Thanks in advance!
