I don't have any bugs to report but I'd like to put my 2 cents in.
I noticed that you put the "move" command quite far away. It seems to be a redundant command since the move is by default on the right mouse button. This isn't the case with units that can load/unload other units. Medivacs, Overlords with ventral sacks and warp prisms have "load" as the default command on the right mouse button. This is especially important for terran players that want to have their medivacs follow their bio army. You cannot just right click the medivacs on a marine or marauder because they will just pick the unit up. You have to actually use the "move" command if you want to have them follow.
The improvement from this is that as you stutter step with your bio the medivacs don't stop healing unless they are out of range.
It is not a hight priority command but it is possible to have it closer where you can comfortably reach it with your pinky. I have customized my Core and put it on "B" (medium layout).

I know Medivacs can heal-move with your standard attack-move command.

Scratch my old question. I figured out the visualizer. My new question is:
I see "i" and apostrophe as cloak/uncloak, siege/unseige, and burrow/unburrow (banshee, tank, mine). Out of curiosity, why is apostrophe being used instead of "k"?

@1conoclast If you issue an attack move command with a unit that does not have right click as move (such as the units you listed), it will have the same function as using the move command.
@Smack This is to avoid finger repetition when shift-queueing siege units.
EDIT: In contact with one of the Dignitas managers. Hopefully I'll get to chat with some of their players Send them your love and encouragement.

Whether you use stop, hold position or attack/scan move when stutter stepping it doesn't change the fact that you are right clicking somewhere on the ground to move your army away. It is at this point that the medivacs stop healing.
The thing that I think might be confusing here is that I suggest having the medivacs on a separate hotkey. Then you can just make them follow the bio and whatever you do they don't stop healing. I agree that it is not a common thing to do but I remember dragging my cursor to the command card and clicking the move command to make my medivacs follow my bio.
Another thing that I noticed is that build hatchery and a camera location are both on "K". I discovered this when learning the hotkeys in a custom game without an enemy. I tried to queue a hatchery after a return cargo command and it jumped to a camera location. I don't think this will be an issue in a real game but ideally anything that can potentially be queued up cannot share a key with cameras (if you are using Shift to jump to a location).

@1conoclast: For the controlgroups it is suggested that you put marine/marauder on a separate hotkey, so the medivacs can keep healing while stutterstepping.
|
@1conoclast having the camera location on K is what makes the inject method so fast, we feel it is worth the sacrifice of having to click the minimap on the occasion that you want to shift-queue a zerg building (which is seldom).

On the latest version of the zerg spreadsheet(v. 1.0) on ZRS you have the recommended cameras set to cameras that don't exist, main is set to [ and natural to P while the set camera is actually alt+L and shift+L to see, same prob with the second camera too the problem seems to be replicated over all the camera suggestions, (prob just a bad copy from a older version.)
Anyway been using this since last week and have to say it's an awesome job and thx for putting in the work :D
Been also combining this with the staircase to help learn the layout in a more controlled way cause I haven't played any Sc2 Multiplayer in months(since before HotS even started) was masters for most of WoL so I want to get bk there.
Again thx a lot for creating this layout.

I don't know about the other layouts, but explode bane is on "O" for me! Sometimes I have a group of lings and banes together and when I want to morph lings I press " O " as well, but banes might be selected too, which would then explode! Can we get the "explode" on some other key?

Sorry if this was discussed earlier, but could someone explain to me shift-queueing siege mode and widow mine burrow? Or is there a good reference out there? Are we basically talking something like:
1) unseige 2) hold shift 3) move click 4) siege 5) release shift

@smack yes, that is what I'm talking about
@pyro will check that out
@basik will check this out also

Idra said on Meta that Ret is really excited about the upcoming Dreamhack because of his new hotkeys! Now I'm really excited!

Ret won't be using TheCore for Dreamhack. He made a switch to learn his own custom hotkey layout before I had the chance to talk to him.

mmm, he started using some of the principles we built TheCore around and that is why he ended up contacting me to see what else we were doing. Pretty cool

Attack moving the Medis past your army or attacking one of your own units will also do the trick. I was watching Taeja's Stream the other day and he had everything (MMMV) except Ghosts in one CG, he used separate CGS for different productions facilities though. This sort of shocked me. (TvP ofc)
I try to keep my vacs on separate hotkeys, especially on TvZ, i try to use the most Hotkeys i can, the but if you watch Pros you will notice it does not matter that much and they micro a lot with the mouse.

Hello! On the previous version of T spreadsheet there were suggested control groups for tech labs, and buldings like Fusion Core, Ghost Academy, Armory, but on the latest there aren't any. Should I bind my GA to CG "L" with Ghosts and Armory to "[" with Tanks, what about Fusion Core?
And also when I use free camera hotkeys (ctrl+I,ctrl+J), should I always jump to them by their alternatives(shift+=,shift+0)? I've read that you can use them with the alternative to center on the current selection hotkey(shift+[) but I can't think of any situation where it would be useful, can you enlighten me? :D Thanks

Hi JaKaTaK,
Making the switch as a Zerg and so far I find myself doing a lot of things I don't mean to. I'm still trying to get my muscle memory up to speed, so hopefully these will go away in time, but so far here is what I'm experiencing:
(Using Zerg Medium for Righties)
- Cancelling by mistake. I'm not sure why cancel is sometimes } AND , . I'm trying to keep my creep queens on [, and I've noticed that I fat finger these cancels often. Once I accidentally cancelled my natural hatch 3 times. I don't think cancel needs to be so easily accessible, in fact i think putting it far away (possibly F8), would be better to specifically prevent accidental presses.
- When no larva is present muscle memory for making overlords, zerglings and roaches results in queuing up multiple queens, researching drop and overlord speed. This happens every game. I believe these hotkeys should be moved to prevent these miss-hits when no larva exists.
I do see the benefits of having everything so close, and believe I'll stick with it as things seem pretty well thought out. The rapid fire is pretty awesome, and although I kind of miss using the F keys for cameras, I kind of get how this may be better in the long run.
Cheers
