I'll explain the reasoning behind the keys a little later.
@Jak,
I think we ought to go back to buildings and units separate... Unfortunately.

There are ten controls groups in TheCore. 8 of them work like this: Ctrl+ shift + key: create cg Ctrl + key: add to cg Key: select cg This is like standard, except ctrl replaces shift, and ctrl+shift replaces control. The other two control groups work differently. I will describe them first, and then explain why it works. Ill be using ZRM in qwerty, so you will need to translate into whatever layout you use. Control group 1: hatches Select: P Add to: alt J Create: ctrl shift j Control group 2: queens Select: shift p Add to: ctrl p Create: ctrl shift p The reason for this is because of larva injects. Ill explain the queen control group bindings first, because the logic for the hatch bindings follow from the queens. TheCore advocates a layered larva inject system, using a camera for each base to inject. In order to do this efficiently, shift needs to be held down (which shift ques the ability). By using shift and any key to recall the queen control group, we eliminate one action. More precisely, we don't gain an action by using an unmodified key, since shift needs to be used anyways in the sequence. So, that explains the queens (add to and select are like the other control groups). Hatches: obviously we want select to be with the best unmodified key, so it is on P. we have add set to alt, because alt centres the camera, and is used for creating base cams. This means that every time we make a hatch, we press alt j and then the appropriate base key, either k l ; 9 or -. Incidentally, none of these are pressed with the pinky, so we never have a repetitive keystroke. This saves an action, because otherwise we wold need to press ctrl, and then alt. I hope this makes sense, please let me know if I can elaborate on anything. @ lolwut, In theCore there are two kinds of cameras. 6 are bound with alt. these are what we call base cameras, because they are meant to be used on bases. Alt centres the current selection, so all these cameras are "centered". The other 2 cams are bound with ctrl, and are "free" because they aren't centered. In order to spread creep: Hold ctrl Recall a free cam Click tumor (ctrl click selects all tumours in the area) Spread Reset free cam Repeat with the 2nd camera if necessary. Hope this helps!

L is Ghosts and Academies. . is Harass and Fusion Cores. When I double-tap these keys, my camera will go to the buildings instead of the units. It seems the code in SC2 has given Ghost Academies a higher priority than Ghosts, in regards to control groups and the camera. Adding other units like hellbats will cause the camera to zip to those units, not the academy. So the Academy is higher priority than the ghosts, but not other units. As far as Fusion Cores, they seem to have a higher priority than any other units, except for battlecruisers. Using this control group with zip my camera to the buildings, not the units. You can imagine how this is a problem when you want to use your control groups to bring your camera to your ghosts on L or your harass squad on period, and instead you get taken back to buildings inside you base. It does not seem to be a problem with the Armory, Engineering bay, or with Tech Labs. Only with the Ghost Academy and Fusion Core. I am curious if anyone else is having this issue or just me. It seems like the solution temporarily is to not have Ghost Academys with Ghosts or Fusion cores with any other units in the same control group. Good point, i actually noticed but didn't bother and moved them to P. As for how much of a pain the priority system is: Try to mass lift raxes and factories and reland them if one happened to be producing ![]()

You know how much of a pain in the ass it is to be remapping with the SC2 interface. The question is: what is the practical thing to do? replace - with I like the older versions of the core? Ok more hotkeys unbound more work... etc etc.. at that time you realize you have to go back to the older version of the core or use the goddamn sidebuttons. German Key user over here, so enter is not that accesible.

\ Is the "interchangeable" one. / is used for a bunch of stuff. Edit: eh, since you're a german key user, I actually have no idea what the equivalent of "\" is for you. For me, using U.S. QWERTY, it is right above my Enter key.

And one last thing to remember is that it is ultimately the user's responsibility to check resources like the FAQ if one has questions. Ideally we would all keep a positive attitude, but there's no need to take jabs at others (especially someone like sixtus ![]()

Here's a copy of my input.ini in Google Docs. Somethings are a little strange just because I'm a little strange, and this evolved over time. I'd love to hear some of the other ideas for keys, as I love efficiency! I'll type out the main ideas that most "TheCore" style LoL hotkeys will use, then I'll give you some nifty tricks that are (obviously) much easier to execute! The main ideas are: + Show Spoiler +
Advantages:
I'm sure someone could really go ham with this and work all 6 pings, laughs, taunts, dances, scorescreen, and maybe even arrow keys into this. There may even be combos that I'm missing that can be far easier to use if the layout was further optimized. But I think this is a rough starting point that can satisfy some people. - - - (Also, ty Jak for all your hard work on TheCore, I adopted it less then a month after this topic started, and checking for the updates has become somewhat of a weekly morning news tradition for me. Thank you and the whole team for all the hard work you guys have done, and congratulations on being so close to the official launch!)

![]() one quick think for LoL bindings for TheCore: evtUseItem7 is actually "teleport home" more commonly referred to as "b" (in case you're interested in rebinding it)

HOLY FUCKING SHIT! Left click as attack move is amazing. Can we do this in Sc2?! EDIT, we'll have to solve a minimap issue. It makes it so you can't click on the minimap. We should be able to find a workaround.
