You do not have to get a new mouse to use TheCore. Switching from Mouse buttons to no mouse buttons is only a couple of rebinds.

Sure, you can use it as middle mouse button. Its just that doing so will be slightly less accurate because the next action you need to do is clicking a tumor. I am not sure what you mean by "a little dance". All you need to do is rebind drag scroll as . or ctrl J, and then it operates the same as if it was bound to the middle mouse button. @rebelsaint, I like that. They can be utility cams for evos, nydus, back of opponents base, etc... .... or creep. I still don't know how to evaluate which method is optimal ![]()

Really liking this for terran, as I found it kinda tricky to set hotkeys for base cams (especially before the base was up). Thanks for the tips! @JaKaTaK What buttons do you recommend (TRM) for cycle subgroup using a mouse with no mouse buttons? I was thinking of using mouse3 and alt + mouse3, and disabling zoom in/out. I really just wish the Razer Abyssus had some side buttons! Thanks for your time.

Queens always spawn out of the bottom corners of the hatchery. So if you want to mass up some queens for use in the battlefield (for say a swarm host + queen + nydus 2 base timing attack vs. protoss), here is a handy trick. Put your injecting queens in your normal injecting control group, but physically move them to the north side of your hatchery. New queens will pop out the lower left corner, assuming it's not blocked by a building. If you want to add all your secondary queens to your battle group, but leave your injecting queens alone, here's how you can do it fairly easily and have it work with TheCore: 1- make sure you have a key set up for "Base Camera" in the hotkey settings. I prefer F9 because it's just to the upper left of my "0" button, which is my control group for fighting queens, per the 1.0 alpha suggestion. 2- tap base camera (F9) to center on the nearest base. 3- mouse over the queen that popped out in the lower left corner. You can also distinguish her because she has 25 energy ready to go, and your other queen is likely much below that or much above it, depending on your diligence with injects. 4- click the queen, then press CTRL+0 to add her to your queen group. 5- release CTRL, then tap F9 to cycle to the next base. 6- repeat steps 4 and 5 for each base you spawned a new queen from (if you do it extra times, it's ok). The great part is you don't have to move your mouse at al, so it's very very fast. 7- before you send all your queens away to battle, you can easily check to make sure you got them all by mousing away from the queen, pressing "0" to highlight the queen group, then rapidly spam F9. You should see all the queens in the lower left corner of the hatch have a green circle around them. If any don't, then you missed one. Also a good time to check you didn't grab your injecting queens by accident. 8- with "0" already selected, your new queen group is ready for battle! I tried to combine this technique with the previously posted tip of adding ALL queens to your injecting group, which does work well, but I found it to be not ergonomic to cycle between F9 and CTRL+K, which is the ZRM for adding a queen to your inject group, plus it means you have to cycle through all your bases twice to 1) add the queens to your injecting group, then 2) pull only the ones you want to fight out into battle. It ended up being much slower for me.

TRMM user here, based on the original suggested groups from the first core, don't know if it has changed but it works for me: All your Command centers and upgrade buildings(engineering bay, tech labs, ghost academy, armory, etc) on one control group. Probably P for you, it's mouse button for me. Whenever you make SCVs, this allows you to tab real quick and start upgrades or check their progress. Every time you throw down a CC or start a tech lab just shift add it to the control group. Then, all your army production structures: barracks, factory, starport, on "O" or your other mouse button. You wont believe you used to keep them seperate. "O", marine, tab, tanks, tab, medivac, all from the same hotkey, done. All in all you'll be able to concentrate on your army and do all of the above without lifting your hand or changing screens until you mule or drop a new building ![]()

I think ctrl I is the add to and create CG for injecting queens. Building on your suggestion, you can make base cam B. That way you cycle through each base with the pinkie, and press ctrl I + 0 (or one after the other in quick succession) to add queens to injecting and battle CG. Edit: to clarify, hold down ctrl, I and 0, and press b to cycle. Alternatively hold ctrl, press b, and after clicking each queen press I and 0.

Stim is usually an absolute must (shields are pretty important too), so it should have a little higher priority. Plus, layering these upgrades with the key suggested for Vikings doesn't really make much sense logically. I think putting it on 0 with M&M or even ; for army would be much easier to access early game and also easier to remember.

When I used a mouse that had them, I often would bind the buttons to keys I never used. For instance, if you are using the right handed version of theCore, you could try binding your mouse buttons to Z and X, keys you'll never want to press in the game. Then you just set previous/next control group to Z or X and you're good to go.
