You can kill a PDD (Point Defence Drone) as Protoss or Zerg faster (and almost negate its ability to fend off range shots) by attacking the PDD right underneath it.

Wow.

I'm not at home so I can't test it right now ; does this also works with mutas right on top of the pdd?


Edit: It does and the difference is huge, especially with small number of mutas.

This has to be a bug? 4 mutas shooting at a distance have to drain all the energy before they kill the pdd (which takes forever), but right when they're right on top of it, it dies in 2-3 volleys.

Tip 448: PTv** When a vortex is deployed, the terran player should delay his nuke with 1second to kill almost all units that come out of the vortex.(2v2)

Tip 449: ZvT, when vs siege tanks, send in your speedlings/blings when the tanks unsiege. The time to unsiege and resiege will be tolate.

Tip 450: TvZ, when having a marine/marauder army, only run your marines away from the banelings, let the marauders stand and fight. If you micro it correctly your marines will stay inrange to fire on speedlings but be save from the banelings.

Top 451: Zv*, when harasing with burrowed infestor, always send 2. Use one fungel and then throw down infested marines. It will force the drone/probe/svc to run away and let them pull down an army to finish of the infested marines. Killing or forcing drone/probe/svc not to mine is an eco win.

Tip 452: Pv*, Dark Templars are not only good to harash but also good as an brain defense. People who have a turret or cannon in there base vs DT's can not move out until they have a moving detector. Terran can not always scan, be sure to only send 1 dt at the time.

The testing is a bit biaised though. The first time you attac the PDD from a distance but all of your stalkers shoot at different times, whereas when you attack it from underneath, they shoot at the same time.
It would be interesting to see the results from stalkers shooting at a distance but at the same time.
I have the feeling that the PDD just can't handle too many simultaneous missile attack.

Tip 453: TvZ, when making thors vs muta's upgrade +1 armor plating instead of +1 damage. The armor plating will help abit more vs magic boxes then +1 damage.

Tip 454: Zv*, Infestors are actually good against any race. They are good against thors/tanks/mm/drops/voidrays/phoenix/chargelots/alot. At the moment the infestor is the best unit choice for a zerg in mid-game.

Tip 455: ZvT, when going for broodlords vs the tanks, do not focus on getting damage upgrade for the broodlords of broodlings, the broodlord is mostly there to force unsiege, or tank fire on there own unit's. When the enemy unsieges run in.

When not focusing on the upgrades you will have more minerals/gas for other units. Going for broodlords is exspensif enough. 4 broodlords is enough, will shoot 8 broodlings at a thor at once.

Tip 455: TvP: A particularly difficult strategy for Protoss to handle on Tal'darim alter is a quick concussive shell marauder rush (very first sent directly to opponents base). The lack of an easy ramp to forcefield very early makes kiting particularly easy, because most protoss do not block off their openings vs terran.

When you see you can get 20 with a fungal ofc you use double fungal, but most of the time you are not able to look and see where to fungal perfectly for most drone/svc/probe kill count.

The infested marines force the enemy to call units back to his main or exp to defend it, that means your main army can do more damage vs his main army because of 6-10 less marines? 4 stalkers?

On Tal'darim, almost all protos go for a quick expand, what will make them have more sentries then normally. They are able to split your force in two, with the sentries/zealots they will be able to make you unable to kite the zealots.

Beside that they make a wallof some kind away with a forge in there.
