If this is really the case (and I don't have gsl vod access to confirm this), then Zenio is just making a mistake. It's been studied and agreed on since the end of the beta that a flat 10 OL is at best equal (but usually inferior) to the standard 9 OL in every interesting metric, in particular mineral income, larva usage, pool time, and overall drone count.
(Note that the difference is not exceedingly dramatic that would necessarily cost Zenio games, but it is suboptimal play.)

Why would you NOT steal gas in zvp?
If he is going forge FE, sure gas steal is not optimal but in any type of 1 base play you really screw the protoss by gas stealing.
What can't he do if you gas steal: - He cannot have enough sentries to expand safely; - Any type of tech build (stargate, robo whatever...) is significantly slowed.
What can he do if you gas steal: - A delayed and suboptimal tech build; - 1 gas, 4 gate; - Risky (or delayed) expand without enough sentries.

How do you detect cloaked banshees in the mix as protoss? obs/cannons have detection range of 11
banshees have range of 6
thors are slower than banshees.

if i have 16 probes on minerals and my expansion comes up should I transfer probes or keep them there and rally probes (income wise only)

Someone posted an amazing amalgamation of all the different variants of 4-gate and how to execute them. I can't for the life of me find this thread, but I think it wasn't too long ago (maybe a couple months?)
I searched for a while, but there are just so many hundreds of threads on 4gate 4-gate and 4 gate I'm having no success

IN A PRACTICALLY IDEAL SITUATION,
You have 16 mining probes. You should transfer 4 (to each one of the closest mineral patches), then rally until you have 12 at both, then rally back to your main and nat independently.
What you should be more concerned about is understanding exactly how much each worker on each patch (per distance) will mine, that way you can make an intelligent decision as to how and when to transfer them.
Generally 8 probes can mine at 45/minute (if you have ~12, otherwise it's a lot of micro and you can only do it at the beginning of the game.
8 more probes can mine at 39/minute
The next 4 probes will mine around 18/minute
The last 4 probes will contribute almost nothing. (~10/minute). This means that these final 4 probes will each take 5 minutes to return their investment, and another 5 minutes just to allow you to build another probe for its own cost.

What are the guidelines to sending day9 a submission to funday monday? How long should the intro text be and what should be in it? I can't find the official recommendations / requirements anywhere.

Here you are, copypasta
To ensure you have submitted properly, please make sure that you have the following in your mail:
First and most important: AN ATTACHMENT
IF the Daily calls for an attachment, please remember to attach one. Sometimes the daily might not require one like the casting constraints Funday.
If you forgot to attach a replay, please reply TO YOUR ORIGINAL email with the attached replay, or resend the email with the attachment.
Proper Description:
Please make your description brief but outlines the highlights of the replay.
Proper Subject:
Depending on the Daily, please put the the type of game you played, ZvT/PvP/TvT/etc.. your league, and your map played.
Think of it as a first date. You see what's on the surface of the person, and then the date reveals the inner details and workings of the person.
Your subject is the surface of the replay like races map and leagues, and your body is the inner happenings of the replay.
Thank you for submitting, The Day9 Admin team

I have been looking through the search trying to find out if some kind of strategy for dealing with the pure zealot 4-5 gate that i have now been beaten by quite a few times in the last few days. Unfortunately the search is pretty unusable for 4 gate, as there are 6bagillion of them So is there a thread or can someone help me with this?
(Currently living in fear of creating new threads thanks to the purge)

I understand where you're coming from, it is indeed hard to find any good information about 4 gate via search :p
Are you talking about PvP? The build is called a Korean 4 Gate and there are many options you have to beat it, depending on preference:
1) If you scout it early on and the map isn't too big, just go 2 gate zeal and rally chrono'ed zealots to his base.
2) Chrono out first stalker to kill the probe, pull probes to kill all pylons in your base.
3) Spend chrono on gateway units from 3-4 gates instead of warpgate tech. Note that you should cut probes as soon as you scout what he is doing.
4) Build a forge and a cannon or 2 in your mineral line.

Hey guys,
I was wondering, just out of curiosity, does a PDD stop a Hunter Seeker Missile? I couldn't figure out a way to test this. and I searched the forum for "Raven PDD Hunter Seeker" and didn't come up with anything that addressed my question. Plus I checked both of the liquipedia profiles of the Hunter Seeker and the PDD to find out.
Thanks

I don't believe it does, since Seeker Missile is an actual ability and isn't a basic attack. Unless the Seeker Missile would shoot projectiles from it, I don't think PDD would shoot it down

In starcraft 2? Right-click the person's name or otherwise access the context-sensitive menu for that person (e.g., from your friend's list, from chat, from a lobby, or from the score screen), click More..., then click Report Player.
In TL? I don't think there's a way to flag a post or person directly. You'll need to PM a mod to log a complaint.

When terran drops a comsat, does the opponent see the big yellowish scan? or is it just for the player using it?
I only recently found out that the nuke, is in fact, just a red dot for the opponent.

Ok I changed my race to Zerg and people are telling me in my level (i am silver) i should go roach hydra. Is that a good composition? Should I go Ling Hydra instead? Please answer

Roach/hydra is a standard composition in ZvZ and ZvP. It is sub-optimal in ZvT (where lings, banelings, and mutas are preferred). However if you are silver, you can stick to this one build in all match-ups as a baseline to practice your mechanics. For reference, here is a relevant thread on the pros and cons of the "one build for all match-ups" approach to practicing:
