I would like to start playing SC2 again. The last time I played seriously, I was Masters league in WoL for Terran Oo;; So obviously I'm going to have to start over from scratch. Where should I start if I want to learn build orders and strategies? Consider me a complete noob at this point. So go ahead and throw me everything that's available out there ![]()

i recently started playing protoss to troll carrier games. thusly i have been going carrier every game. i am currently on the cusp of getting promoted into plat, going carrier every game. my builds as follows, pvz ffe use 2gate1stargate per base standard build do quick 4 phoenix to snipe ovies/queens/scouting depending on scouting, go 2-4VR+zealot for any rush builds then immediately fleet beacon + carriers + speedlots if scout muta, make stalker instead and balance carrier amounts as gas allows generally aiming to end the game around zergs 4th-5th base timings + vr zealot easy to handle roaches, when they add hydras, carriers to insane damage to hydra in addition to being meatshield for zealots + carriers to significant damage to mutas due to muta low dps in initial numbers - fast corrupter is soft counter build, depending on how many they have and how quickly they can kill remaining void rays, but usually not an issue because what zerg goes fast corrupter? pvt 1gate fe 2 stalker mcs (chrono'd) stops any harass get fast speedlot, upgrade ground damage, either go fast vr for marauder/drops or fast carriers. aiming to end game around terran's 3rd-4th - stutter step is extremely hard to deal with - drops are extremely annoying + goal is to use carrier vr to kill vikings/medivacs, zealots to eat through marines. macro must be impeccable. pvp 1gate fe 1stargate and spam vr, zealots, add second warpgate as economy provides get fast speedlot when speed is finished, transition into carrier - sentry (ff) hardcounters as zealot dps is necessary, so if enemy is going sentry, must engage out in the map because all these builds open fast stargate, adjust your playstyle if you prefer oracle if you like economy harass (if you can pull it off) or phoenix if you have good control to raise units so far i have very good records vs z,p. terran is difficult because my macro suffers. i have the occasional game where my macro is perfect and i win. please help spread the word. CARRIERS! thanks for reading.

EDIT: unless your entire post is about how to effectively troll players worse than you, that is. And I highly doubt you have perfect macro games.

So go ahead and throw me everything that's available out there ![]() Just pick a player you like watching, try to find reasonably recent games where he does the exact same or extremely similar openings/builds you like for each match-up, study them, then try and find other players who do the same openings/builds, study those, practice executing the builds in a vacuum, then just go out on ladder and get some experience. Then go back to a vacuum and refine some, go back on ladder, repeat until timings are perfect etc. Start with one build per match-up again. I took a long break too, and I feel like I'm better than I was before after doing this. Hardest part is picking and committing to a new style in a different meta game that you're comfortable and would enjoy playing, though they usually will all work at any level on ladder up to GM.

I stopped playing around the end of June 2013. http://media.blizzard.com/sc2/replays/WCS-Season1-and-2-Replays.zip Season 2 has 768 replays from 2013-06-18 to 2013-08-25. It should be enough ![]()

I looked at the Kas games recently because I remember him doing them, but I don't want a CC first build either

So the zerg player will be forced to build less drones which means he will have less units in the midgame.
