why does the protoss assimilator have 900 health and the protoss nexus have 2000 health while their terran and zerg counterparts have only 500 and 1500 health?

Actually, the nexus has 1000 health and 1000 shields.
It make sense because the nexus can always regenerate shields, but once it loses health, it will never be able to be at full health again. You can repair a command centre (which costs minerals, but I'm pretty sure the command centre has +2 armour) and use transfusion on a hatchery (which only requires energy).

Same goes for the assimilator/extractor/refinery.

Also protoss units are so gas heavy that assimilators are simply more important for protoss, at least at the stage of the game where sniping an assimilator is a big deal.

For Protoss, how many dark templars can kill a single hatchery in 1 hit?

You would need around 34~ to one shot a hatchery. It's just not feasible really.

Also, originally, the nexus was 750/750, but the nexi were getting sniped repeatedly so they buffed protoss in this way. For the assimilator, their isn't really a good explanation except that the broodwar assimilator had 900 health and they didn't change it.

Anyway, taking in acount the high attak speed of the dark templars, it would be more effective to use a third of them and just kill it in something like 3 shots.

I'd also like to ask: how far do you think a terran can go (I mean to which league can he go) by playing pure mech/mechair style?

Judging by GoOdy, you can go pro.

But it also depends on how well you can macro/use your units.
If you can't micro a banshee for your life, I'd say you can't go pro.

Why high level players I see when they try to get a task started right when they have resourses or when another finishes they press the key for that task multiple times instead of just holding the key and releasing when they start a task?
For example when I want to build a worker and I dont have the 50 minerals yet I hold the e bottom (probe) but I see people press repeatedly this bottom instead of holding it. Is it because of BW mechanics? Because I think it causes much more fatigue than just holding the bottom.
I'm playing the game, the one that will take me to my end, i'm waiting for the rain, TO WASH-- WHO I AM!!!

Don´t give a damn about that, it´s just spamming and not a good habit. It´s they same, when people clicking a thousand times on the ground, when they are sending their scouting worker just to have 200 or 300 apm for a while.

Yes very. Typically it getting to the mech stage that is difficult.

Most common methods are:
Reactor Hellion
Hellion drop
Cloak banshee

Those are mean to buy time so you can get your expo and double upgrades goings for your mech army

I know, I used to spam alot myself up until recently that I decided to try to kill all the spam I do, but I wonder why most people I see prefer to press the same bottom 50 times instead of just holding it.

It might be linked to the whole APM spam argument.
If players spam the button then their hands will be more used to the faster speeds.

As long as you can use that speed and be efficient.

What is the optimal mineral saturation? i hear players say that it's 16, but i've heard that 3 per patch is where you acn mine the most, and i've seen f.x. idra go alot higher then 16, but jaedong goes for 16, etc, can someone please explain this to me?

16 workers (2 per patch) gives you the most income per worker, while 24 workers (3 per patch) gives you the most income per patch. 32 (4 per patch) gives no improvement over 24. Therefore you should aim for 16, if you have too many you can get up to 24 (but you should consider expanding for example), and if you have over 24 at a base you can get rid of a few.

Does it make sense to start learning WoL now? Or should I wait until Hots to really get into sc2?
