Thank you ^^. I found that out on accident after i went in game to go fool around with the way that the previous person had mentioned.

If I open 1 Rax FE can I survive most Zerg all in such as the 1 base or 2 base baneling bust?

hi, can anyone please tell me all the maps (full names) that are in the current battle.net ladder season 2, 1vs1 pool, or give me a link? and how many maps can you veto/down vote?
(it's because I never played ladder yet, still have 25 practice league games that I don't want to skip. the ladder has the old 5 newbie map pool, thus I can't view the current, real 1v1 map pool)

I normally do the following builds: - PvP - kcdc 2 gate robo - PvZ - 3 gate sentry expand - PvT - GEnius 2 gate robo
I hear ppl say u need to adjust your play based on the map. Are these builds weaker on any particular maps?

3 gate sentry expand can be a 15 nex/ffe in shakuras or taldarim.
kcdc 2 gate robo will lose to 4 gate in taldarim.
Genius 2 gate robo can be replaced with 1 gate fe in huge maps such as taldarim, typhon peaks, shakuras, and cross positions in the medium sized maps.

why do pros move units around the map instead of a-moving them? like i'm talking about reapers, small forces, things that aren't the main army. are they just that confident they can react in time? even if so, why not a-move? maybe with a reaper, even if it slips by a unit, they hope that their opponent doesn't notice?

Ohh also:
1) What are some key times to scout in each match up?? Or should it just be continuosly?? 2) What is the difference in mineral count if you scout 9 probe or 13 probe? Does anyone know?

Hi iChau, thanks! Everytime i read ur posts, i find them really helpful
Im a newb player and being told to focus on only 1 buiild per MU to improve my macro etc. Do you suggest even for taldarim then, where my builds are inherently weaker, to learn 4 gate/1gate fe/15 nex?? Is that considered a 'variation' or 'adjustment' to my main build??

Q: I'm currently using an NA account, and I'm wondering if I will still be able to use it (ladder) when I'm in Peru?

I believe you can use it to ladder in the NA servers, but it may be laggy.
My old question was bad, so I'm making a new one. Where should 3 gate sentry expand be placing its chronoboost?
Much love to anyone who answers.

Gah, I asked this in the SC2 general discussion, now I find this thread, which suits the question a lot more T^T.
Anyway - can someone please tell me which game it was in the most recent GSTL, where Tastosis were discussing how awesome it would be to be coached by NesTea?
LosirA was playing, and it was probably in the series against Zenex. One of the things they said was something like. "And he's showing you how to muta harass, and he's like 'No. You do it like this', and he puts his hand on yours and shows you how to do it."
If anyone knows which game I'm talking about, please let me know!

For PvP, always go 4 gate if you are simply trying to learn the game, and don't mind being standard. When you have a firm grasp of the mechanism, go 3 stalker Robo--it also beats 4 gate, but requires active micro and solid macro.
For PvT, 1 Gate FE gears you up for macro game, and is also safe if you learn to react to various kind of pushes. I've been doing it in all of my PvT, and it works great, especially since maps are getting bigger. Just allow yourself some initials losse and learn to hold off pushes. (2 Gate Robo is very standard too--nothing wrong with that.)
For PvT, 3 gate sentry is the way to go (follow up with 6 gate push or death ball), except for huge map like Taldarim, also learn Forge FE.
Just stick to these builds (2 for each MU) and optimize--you'll be fine.

Assuming that you are toss, then yes, in mid game, we should scout continuously with multiple observers.
Early game scouting with probes there are some timing.
vP: hang around their bases for a 4 gate. vT: 1st scout look for reactor or tech lab on rax. 2nd scout after you expand to gauge the pressure. vZ: 1st scout for six pool or not + delay expo. 2nd scout around 8 min to see if there is risk of muta (sign: lots of ling, no roach). After you take your nat, also scout to see when Z goes for third.
After that, be active with observers.

How does the "cancellation fee" work?
|
When I scout a Terran player as Protoss and I see he has no gas and he doesn't have any by the time his marine kills my probe...how can I tell the difference between a marine&scv all-in vs a no gas fast expand?

You get a full refund for cancelling units/upgrades. You only get 75% back when cancelling buildings

The earliest scv all in would have a delayed Orbital Command or none at all, I'm not exactly sure. So if he doesn't get his OC right after he built his rax or you find a rax out on the map be prepared for an all in.
