1. Can Protoss get fast third (e.g. before 9th minute) safely against Zerg who also has 3 bases? If you have a replay, that'd be awesome.

2. The same question, but for PvT. I just died to 7 min marine rush. Hard counter?

I'm trying to find a way to get fast third to abuse protoss late game, but I just die.

1. Yes. Don't have replays of it, but look at White-Ras stream for examples. He does it all the time.
2. Not really. Earliest safe third base is at 10-11 minutes unless you scout something specific that makes it safe to be greedy like early double engineering bay or so.

How high in upgrades should I go against general protoss play and terran bio? I started reflecting on this topic once I read that you only need 1 ground carpace against terran mech.

Depends, but generally speaking the longer the game goes on the more upgrades you should get. There is no limit to how much you should get. For instance in a longer game against a Terran who's meching, you definitely want +3 carapace past say, at least 25 minutes. Just get them as the game progresses unless you're going for a timing or something.

Unit statistics - attack values in the brackets are confusing and not really explained there

Does it mean that for example +1 upgrade from forge gives DT additional 5 demage per hit, +2 gives 10 demage and +3 gives total of additional 15 demage?

1) Very rarely because they can harass it to easily..

2) Kite with stalkers as he moves out, if you can do enough kiting up until your base, you will be fine

@blarkh, you should scout if toss is going for a FE or a late expo and see if toss has gotten 1 gas already and last but not least early wall-in's at the natural. Try to hold that 2 base timing off and then the toss player will try to expand, that is where toss is at it's weakest in this kind of all in

All I can answer to that is that Axslav has died to them every time I've seen him up against them.

Uhh 3rax stim yes
2rax, reactor first, not without taking some damage, unless you cut probes to get your cyber core and gates faster.

if you've got all hatches on one hotkey, how can you tell the camera to jump to a specific hatch when double pressing the hotkey?

Hey I have been having problems with the SCV repair AI. For example if I click auto repair it doesnt repair anything I want, i.e. Thors if mutas are around, even though they are literally surrounding it they move away to go repair other stuff. Also if I try to repair manually "r click" it won't repair the thing I want if I "r click" at full health and then lose damage. Can someone explain how repair is supposed to function and how autorepair is supposed to function, this has casued me to lose some games I was way a head in and made the proper repsonses. Thank you!

you can't. pros either bind each hatch individually, or use camera hotkeys (some bind queens but don't actually rely on them for navigating bases).

personally i recommend using camera hotkeys, ofc it's your choice.

that 2rax sounds like reactor-techlab which is pretty much unviable now because it's insanely easy to hold and once you do hold it you're way ahead as protoss because your expo is done around the time his starts. it's still viable on some maps, i.e. it's pretty scary on close spawn metal. on daybreak it's just stupid, any protoss opener stops it convincingly enough.

tl;dr nexus first can hold reactor-techlab, just make a 2nd gate before your core and pump zealots. you will hold it easily.
you will likely die to a 3rax stim as you won't have many forcefields available. that said you don't really see this build anymore as many variants of 1gate fe can hold this quite well. as you said, this was popular awhile back when stim was 30s faster, barracks were 5s faster, and when barracks didn't require a depot. this build is not a threat anymore.

edit:
if you're looking into the weaknesses of nexus first you should be more concerned about proxies. it's basically insta loss regardless of map distances.

Hello Team liquid community. My name is A-train and I am a really new player in the SC2 scene. I am currently a bronze league Zerg struggling to get into the game. Now there are millions of things I would like to ask, but ill ask this. How do you deal with a million cannons blocking the natural of a protoss's base.
I know that this is a low level tactic and it's not a thing I will have to deal with as I rise up on the ladder but I am struggling.

In the last game I played before I joined this site I felt like I had a strong advantage I did great harassment (for the level of play im playing at least) i stopped him from mining and I saw that he did not really have anything so I went roaches knowing that roaches beat stalkers and zealots easily and by the time I came with my small force there were a million cannons and needless to say those roaches got destroyed. I noticed that he only had one pylon powering the cannons so I came with more roaches to take out the cannons but he had too many stalkers so I backed out and stayed right out side of his base. Now I probably could've upgraded overlords so that I could do drops in his base and kill him easy but I didnt think of that in time. So anyway I pretty much had him contained in his base and I was feeling alright about the situation I figured with all the cannons being placed and pylons being rebuilt as i destroyed them he would eventually run out of money to spend. So I teched up (I didn't go hive and I do not know why I didn't) and I finally thought about dropping roaches (fully upgraded) in his base and I was trying to destroy buildings and I saw four star gates (I believe that is what the protoss air unit producer is called) all powered by one Pylon. I destroyed the pylon and started to get corrupters and mutas because I felt they would do better than hydras, and in the end he came to my base with a mother ship a phoenix's and void rays and killed me.

I feel as though my inability to A get through cannons and B my huge lack of skill was the reason I lost that match. So If any of you kind people could help me find a way to get through this problem so that I may encounter a bigger problem and continue to progress as a player I would greatly appreciate it.
