You shouldn't need to be this strict, just don't go over 40 and you should be find against most variants.

How many cannons does Protoss need for 1 base roach after FFE?

No unfortunately.. This would actually be sooo useful IMO. The only way you could do that is if you're warping in using a warp prism. Turning it to transport mode will cancel the warp-in.
I suppose this means you could kill a pylon, and this might actually be effective late game. xD

Usually there will be about 7 roaches coming with ling support, and I'm not sure if I recall correctly, but getting up to 3 cannons can probably hold that along with good forcefields.

how do you...
Target unit/spine from inside? It's not right click. Set your units to move to the next bunker once one of them dies.
Thx thx

From inside a bunker? I could be wrong, but I believe you have to set them to a control group before you put them in the bunker. Then just select the control group and tell them what to attack.
If by "once one of them dies," you mean "once one of the bunkers is destroyed," I'm not entirely sure (I don't play Terran), but it's probably one of two things. Try selecting the bunker and right clicking the other bunker (which will set the bunker's rally point to the other bunker). If that's not it, try shift clicking the units into one bunker and then the next.

What are the standard builds for each matchup as Terran (ex. reactor hellion FE against Zerg)?

As Zerg, what is the best way to respond to a Protoss 3 gate robo all-in with immortals on open maps like Xel'Naga Caverns?

When I control click a probe in my mineral line to count, do the 2 probes CURRENTLY mining inside the two geysers show up as well?
|
On January 18 2012 16:03 Quochobao wrote: When I control click a probe in my mineral line to count, do the 2 probes CURRENTLY mining inside the two geysers show up as well? No. Full saturation is when you see 20 Probes (16 mining + 2 per gas with one hidden inside the geyser), or two and a half rows of Probes.
Edit: Oops, meant to say "optimum efficiency", not "full saturation."

I am confused...normally when T 11/11 bunker rush, do they proxy the barracks? And is this only going to be successful if the enemy gets a 2nd base quickly? Surely 11/11 bunker rush cannot do damage if the enemy does not expand, since he will have too many units?
I have been searching but found a good updated one...anyone know a good 11/11 or 11/12 rax bunker rush? To pressure while expanding that is
EDIT: And is bunker rush only good vs Z or P too? Zealots are strong...

The third Probe will be out with the others for only like a split second, so most likely it won't count. Just box all of your probes and if there are two lines plus a few Probes you're good. (One line is 8, so 8x2 plus like 4 equals saturation)

Replay Websites Liquipedia has a list of replay sites (though the one I personally use is only on the draft page version).

When I do a 3 gate Blink with obs build in PvP and scout one base Colossus what should my response be? Build immortals or more stalkers?
Also is Charge + Archons always a good transition when doing this build? When is going for Immortals/Colossus instead better?

I would say it depends on the map, but on most maps I would get your expansion up then get robobay up asap. If his colossus count is above 1-2 add another robo and cut gateway units for double colossus production. Keep your blink stalkers in a smart threatening position to keep him in his base until you can catch up in colossus. Also if he gets out of position trying to get an expo blink in and target either probes, artosis pylon, robo, bay, or lone collusus coming out.
-> Should be an easy win from there I would say.

TvZ Reactor hellion FE is probably the most general opener, it can transition into a lot of game plans midgame.
TvP 1rax gasless expands and 2rax pressure expands are relatively common, and the 1/1/1 marine/tank/banshee all-in is still effective in the lower leagues.
TvT you can still open 1/1/1, or 1rax gasless expand if you scout and react well enough. Then people play either mech or bio, or marine/tank/viking/medivac in the midgame, nothing much has changed in that regard.

You want to use roach/speedling and spines. Make sure your main and nat are saturated and don't take too much gas, and don't drone up too hard. You want just enough drones to be comfortably ahead of the protoss without putting your army count at serious risk. Use your speedlings to bait out forcefields in the middle of the map, because a 3gate robo push will rely heavily on forcefields to make itself more effective. Baiting FFs means threatening to attack with your speedlings so protoss throws up pre-emptive defensive forcefields, but you should always aim to run away with minimal losses. Your main goals are delaying the protoss and making him waste forcefields while losing as few units as possible before the final engagement so that your econ can kick in. Keep the roaches and spines at home for fire support to pick off sentries and in case he goes very zealot-heavy, and try to get a good surround/flank so his ffs are less effective.

[Q] : PvZ - Can protoss hold a low ground 1 gate 1 pylon wall in vs 8 pool or 11 pool 6 ling pressure?
Assume: 9 pylon 12 gate on low ground that leaves just 1 space gap for zealot. Build 2 zealots out of gateway immediately, cyber will be on the high ground.
Possible problems I foresee: before 2nd zealot pops, 2 lings attacking far side of pylon while 4 stay near crack to run in if zealot leaves position.
I am experimenting with a 1 gate FE style vs zerg and want to know if anyone has success with atypical wall ins, and what zealot/probe micro tricks I should know when trying it. Anyone have experience with this?
