bump
9 Supply 12 Barracks 13 Gas 15 Oribital
past that get a couple more barracks, get 2 tech labs and 1 reactor, then a factory and go tanks/marines/marauders, with a starport for a few medivacs.
10 supply is standard. as far as i know what you do is queue up your 10th scv, then whenever you have 100 mins, make depot. you'll have enough mins to make your 11th scv during depot, and you should be supply blocked for about 1 second before your 12th scv can start
111 is standard TvT, dunno what is "standard" for other matchups. make sure to put 3 scvs in gas as soon as it's done and you should have enough gas shortly after you have the mins for that factory

Also the risk of burrowed banelings and / or other units.

that's true. i guess they may want reactored starports, so the cost is a whole other starport + tech lab + raven(s). gas is more scarce than minerals, especially late, and with multiple OCs, you eventually have a LOT of scans anyway.

Also is there a custom game downloadeble out there to practise it on?
The best method in my opinion (and I think it is THE best, unless you already have a habit of something else) is this method, but where you map backspace (base camera button) to "SHIFT+SPACE".
center mouse > 4 > shift down > v (or X if your grid) > space > click > space > click > space > click > shift up > done...

For ne, the main reason is tempo. The time it takes you to swap add-ons and build a raven can be used to make 2 medivacs instead which can be used for more harass.
I always see people in videos when sending drones to an expo they just evacuated they send all the drones to gas then de-select 3 and send the rest to the minerals but I don't get how? Lol I would've guessed the right button but it's not. Kind of a silly question but still

Shift-clicking the portrait of the unit you want to deselect will remove them from the selection
I recently played a pvp where after the initial 4 gate battle that i defended, i transitioned into dt and pheonix, where my opponent went into robo tech. So my goal was to snipe his obs with pheonix and abuse p's crappy detection. So at one point i was about to kill his obs, my pheonix had shot at and while his lasers where on thier way to attack it, my obs died and i didnt kill his.
So, missle attacks need detection all the way up untill they hit something clocked correct? Second, does protoss have any instant attack units (like marines)?

Yes, you need to have detection for your projectiles to connect with a cloaked unit.
And Protoss has Sentries, Colossi, Immortals, Carriers and Void Rays that fit the instant attack role I believe.

anything that's not PDD-able is instant attack, i suppose, so immortals, collosi, VRs, etc. and that's really the only thing that makes a difference if it's "insta-attack" because it's not like any attacks besides spells are dodgeable. marines may have the highest firing rate in the game if that's what you mean...

As a zerg who uses this build often, I have the most trouble with banshees. If you learn to split them up, then infestors are very poor at dealing with them, and NP is almost useless. It will probably force the zerg into spire tech and from there you can transition into standard marine/tank.
I do not recommend marine/tank/thor because zerg will probably have NP by the time you attack.
Has there been any sort of standard FE or even any kind of timely expansion on the newer ladder maps for Protoss? It seems that NONE of them afford any kind of choke or cannon placement which can cover your nat efficiently.
Protoss hotkey question: (Apologies, not sure if the question counts as a 'survey' question...if so, i'll post somewhere else)
How do people hotkey their gateways temporarily before warpgate?? I rely on 'W' to use warpgates and save me a hotkey, but before WG is researched, I have trouble findings a good key to use.
Currently I go: 1 - Builder probe 2- Nexus 3/4/5 - Units 6 - Scouting probe 7 - Research building 0 (rebinded to Q) - Robo
So for macro I can go 2/W/Q to build all units needed. Thanks!
Is there a way to make double clicking a unit no longer select all similar units in the vicinity? I've lost too many games by sending 18 probes to build my core.

I personally play with 1-3: Army 4: Scout (observer or otherwise) 5: Nexus 6: Gateways 7: Robos 8: Stargates 9: Forges 0: Secondary scout (usually observer)
