EPTYou say you were contained but the only pressure up until 15 minutes in were a couple of hellions. You could've droned like crazy and expanded after the Terran took his second base. Instead you suicided lings and muta's into his solid defenses.
At the 9:30 mark he has 40 workers on 2 base versus your 25 workers on 2 base and he hasn't even attacked you up until this point. You have cut ridiculous amounts of drones to get lots of gas in order to support a super fast ling speed and +1 attack even though they are useless against his defensive factory play. Then you get roaches and fast roach burrow and then you fast-tech to lair and get a fast spire to attack with fast muta's.
20 minutes into the game and the only agression your opponent has done is to deny your gold expansion. He's on three bases to your two and has 81 workers to your 37. You continue to try and get EVERYTHING possible: a Nydus Network, Infestors with Neural Parasite, 2 base Ultra with upgrades. You lost yourself the game, rather than your opponent winning it. You were trying to do everything cutesy in the galaxy and he ended up killing you with just having a lot more stuff and economy, Zerg vs. Terran reversed.
I think your play should be a bit more economically centered, cut all that gimmicky stuff. On Scrap you can easily go 15Hatch, 14-pool but you go 14 pool with gas and a very early evo chamber and then expand, giving you a crappy economy and a useless early attack upgrade.
