the focus point of the map is the chasm in the middle and the expansions spread along the side.
while the chasm and limited attack paths promote a turtle style play, the spread out expansion in both directions promote an aggresive style where you move over both attack lanes to put pressure on your opponent.

I like this a lot. It is simple but well done.
I don't like some of the cliff-work though.
|
It's simple enough that players can focus on the more important aspects of gameplay such as micro, but still a beautiful map.
|
I like the cliff work. Very nice, simple map.
|
I would love to see this symmetry used more often. Getting tired of mirrored and rotational ones.
|
Very nice map! However, isn't this an extreme case of circle syndrome? I'd imagine that there would be a lot of base trades here.

Man, I never thought I would see someone talking about circle syndrome, in 2014, on a reflectional map
It's a good map but I really dislike those cliffs that you use. Also, seems like it would be a really good map for air.

That is quite what this map attempts, challenging circle syndrome with the huge chasm in the middle.

Very smart and well executed map. Even though I normally hate huge split pathways, everything here works to make it play sensibly (insofar as it can), but still with plenty of spice. I'd love to play on this.

The elephant in the room is the rush distances. Even if there was a path straight through the middle, it would still be very long. With a giant gap along the middle I can imagine it taking 2 minutes to get to your opponent.

from what I remember 67 or 76 nat to nat, which is alterzim close spawn I think? so yes the rush distance is quite the elephant in the room here, I found it to still play pretty interesting despite of that as taking bases goes straight along the path and with every base taken the rush distance is much and much smaller.
