My sentiments exactly.... Detection just seems like such a pain in the ass to get now.

Not to turn this into any balance discussion, but I think Viper for balance and for the sake of zerg, should come at Hive, and leave the cheap Seer where it is!

Anyone have a source on that Adrenal removal? I've never heard this once until this thread.

Are entombs shared life? or are they 75 each? Cause that's a huge difference for a harass!

Not really, idle workers will pop up in the corner, that's a pretty big sign that something's up. Having a voice alert just makes it too easy. If blizzard does add an alert to it, they'll definitely be raising the collective HP of the forcefield, or making each forcefield have it's own hp.


Was notified that it is in fact 45, which makes sense since it is a single fire relatively low attack speed weapon.

According to this video
starting around 57 seconds, the tempest has it's attack/attack speed shown for it's VsGround attack. It is definitely 35.

As for the second point, we should keep it as close as possible to the build shown at Blizzcon, no? It's only meant to preview, and give the people who weren't able to attend, a taste of what the current build for HotS is. In terms of balance, there shouldn't be any balance right now, some units are going to be OP. There's no denying that.

Not Removed, just tweaked, probably. Maybe they'll be some exceptions, but some things might be able to work and still be balanced, as long as numbers get tweaked (except for maybe the replicant, that one might be a little hard) I think Browder said that they look at interesting ideas then they work on balance. If they have balance be their top priority, they wouldn't even add new units as they already have a (relatively) balanced game.

I don't know exactly what the issue is, but ctrl+clicking on deployed shredders selects siege tanks instead. I don't remember the specifics, but when trying to select only my shredders, I had ended up with my tanks selected.
That said, a combination of the 2 provides simply monstrous turtling capabilities.

the swarm host is around 8-9 dmg per second not 14 per .82 its too strong.

Actually reddit says 14 while a bnet thread says 15, both say .833 for attack speed.
Reddit says locusts have 110 life while the bnet thread says 90.
I'm not sure who is right, but it's kinda strong unit for how much ppl have dismissed it.

yeah.. vs zerg its insane haha. He needs like, 3 spines and a spore or two at each base just to have a decent economy

also, is there a counter to arc shield assimilator rush other than using all your workers to target them down?

My opinion on balance.

I think the oracle is strong, as its so fast meaning its good at scouting, so you know can you build more without dying or not. I think its speed should be reduced, or the the energy cost of entomb increased.

I am fine with locotus being strong thou. This is because they are melee and so slow that if you see them on the field, you never need to engage, and slow melee units should not be so strong at breaking defense, even if they do high DPS. That means swarm host are units that give map controll. They are not a unit that is good at atacking, but they are good at protecting an area, as if enemies go near it, it can do high damage. Even thou its way different, the effect should be the same as with siege tanks.

Minor patch coming up, addresses a few issues pointed out yesterday, and brings back adrenal glands based on new information.

Patch Notes: 0.86
- Roach and thor now affected by blinding cloud
- Tempest ground damage now 35, now called "Eradicator beam"
- Viper now has appropriate icons
- Battle hellions are now armored and not light
- Remove strike cannon from factory
- Undeployed shredder death animation fixed
- Returned adrenal glands
- Control clicking shredders no longer selects siege tanks, selects shredders
- Entomb slightly reworked

In this video they seem to last vs siege tank fire quite good, to be an armored unit :/


Kim even said they transformed to withstand siege tank fire better to gain more heath. Would be stupid if it was nullifed for being armored and taking bonus dmg from them if it was the case.
